Beach at Isla Blanca Park - Welcome to South Padre Island, Texas, a beautiful place to vacation and soak up the sun! We highly recommend a visit to Isla Blanca Park, where you can enjoy a day at the beach. If you're traveling in an RV, you're also in luck since this was our home base to explore the island. Your family can come for the day, enjoy the beach facilities, and parking. You're in for a treat because this park has the best sea shells on South Padre Island! Don't miss out on the opportunity to make unforgettable memories at Isla Blanca Park!
Entertainment district - Check out the entertainment district. Here, you'll find restaurants with live music right on the ocean, a small park, and plenty of shopping. One of the coolest attractions we saw was the amazing sand castle sculptors on display. Nearby, there are food trucks and arcade rooms for kids that offer endless entertainment options. With so many condos and beach resorts in the area, you're sure to find the perfect place to call home during your stay. Plus, there's a free shuttle which makes getting around the island a breeze. The entertainment district is kid-friendly, so you can bring your whole family along for the adventure!
Laguna Madre Nature TrailIf you're looking for a fun and free activity to do with the kids, consider taking a trip to the Laguna Madre Nature Trail on South Padre Island. This beautiful lagoon offers plenty of opportunities to interact with local wildlife, enjoy a refreshing walk, and take in some fresh ocean air. It's also a great spot for bird-watching, so be sure to bring your binoculars! And the best part? It's dog-friendly and FREE. Don't miss out on checking out this nature trail on south padre island for a great time out in nature with kids.
Take a bike ride along the beach or in the city on bike paths. There’s lots of golf carts to rent too. It’s fun to just walk around the city. Take a stroll, go into the souvenir shops. The souvenir shops are massive here.
Take a cruise. There’s pirate themed cruises, dolphin watching and more. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming right from our campground at Isla Blanca Park.
