South Kensington, also known as “South Ken”, is a fashionable and trendy area in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It lies between Hyde Park (north) and Chelsea (south), and between Belgravia (east) and Earl’s Court (west). Very popular with tourists, it is well known for the “museum quarter”, which comprises London’s major museums like the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A). Other notable landmarks in this area are the Royal Albert Hall, the Imperial College and the Royal College of Music. This district is well served by public transport thanks to the two underground stations of South Kensington and Gloucester Road.
