As a Gamecock fan I think this was the steal of the draft! Spencer was the best QB in the SEC last year despite playing behind an O-line that was totally ravaged by season-ending injuries, having no running game, and only having one go-to WR (1st Round pick Xavier Legette). Spencer is incredibly accurate, has a fantastic arm, and is surprisingly mobile. He's a little smaller than the NFL likes its QBs these days, but then I remember a guy named Drew Brees who also wasn't 6'4". #GoGamecocks

Rattler has a very realistic chance to be above and beyond any other quarterback that was taken ahead of him, he has all of the tools yet is pliable and moldable enough with his fundamentals to be a ball of clay to satisfy any elite offensive coordinators vision all the way to the elite top shelf percentages and production 📈

Really excited about this guy, very polished looking football player Spencer is our future.

It not where you start it is where you end. Tom Brady was taken in the 6th round and people call him the best quarterback that ever played the game. Spencer - Godspeed for your success. Work hard and keeping working until you get to where you want to be.
