I know about Dylan Stewart. He should contribute. I use this to ask stuff about which I have actual questions.

Defense will be massively improved. We have a loaded D line, especially at Edge. Linebacker is loaded and secondary is maturing with some of the SEC’s best safeties. If Carolina can execute and perform as a top five SEC defense, they have every opportunity to win 6, 7, maybe 8 games. They will be able to run and play D and that gives you a great chance in any game

SC will be lucky to make a bowl game. Nothing that they have is elite and most SEC teams will look forward to the week they play them

​@williamseale 3 former freshman all Americans at DB. Nick Emmanwori, DQ Smith, Jalon Kilgore. Returning All-SEC LB LB Debo Williams, had an LB transfer in with 97 tackles last year who's a former DB that can fly but he's 240. The DTs are tried and true...all 4th or 5th year guys most former 4star recruits that are just solid. Edge is night & day better too.

Have we ever stopped the run on defense? We had a 5 star DT a couple of years ago and we were terrible up front. How will the same DC do better than he has the past few years?

Legit question: Would Nyck Harbor have a bigger impact at EDGE opposite Dylan Stewart or as a wide receiver?

I think South Carolina can open up strong but can they hold strong all season

I say 7-5 regular season , 8-4 at absolute best .. I predict an 8-5 total record but I could see worse cause you never know with South Carolina..

We have a 2 time Super Bowl winnng Special Teams coach with SC tied coaching special teams.

If we run a 3-3-5 all year we will give up 200 yards rushing a game. I like the look but against the SEC we will have to play 3-4 or 4-3 with a 3-3-5 package for long yardage situations and deep threat teams.

Yes a 3-3-5 is dangerous for sec in a bad way .. our dline & linebackers will be too improved to not have more up front ..

A lot of positives for a 5-7 team.

All anyone can say about this Gamecock football team is Beamers on the hot seat and this team lost its on production in its qb and star receiver who we still could not win with but those guys did an awesome job with what they were working with take any other duos o line away and see what there season looks like at the end of the day this team is going to look alot better this mobile qb this line both sides these rbs and wr and defense as a whole are hungry and healthy and will be feasting on alot of teams in its hard schedule not just bottom feeders not no body has done there research on this team everyone is passing on them just because of last year 2 predictions at least 9 wins and sellers will b a house hold name after week 6

One thing you can say about your comment is that you're clueless. Shane Beamer is NOT on any "hot seat." He was given a 2-win catastrophe left by MusChump and exceeded all expectations with a bowl win over UNC. That wildly inflated fan expectations when Beamer was still just getting started and trying to rebuild a program that MusChump immolated. Now Beamer's had the best recruiting class since Spurrier, and has brought in the best O-Line and linebacking recruits SC has ever had. He's building a great program in the toughest conference outside of the NFL. (also have you ever seen these punctuation marks . , )?

@@user-ll2zt9fb9x That's the kind of comment that doesn't concern me because I recognize it comes from someone who doesn't understand football or just doesn't follow the team. I never believed in MusChump because with all the talent in the state of Flo-Rida he still couldn't generate any offense. I knew that 9-win season was a total fluke just like his rare success in Florida because it was just based on turnover margin and lucky bounces. That does NOT win games year after year in the SEC. MusChump's teams were so boring and hopeless that I lost interest in Gamecock football (along with the rest of the fan base). I would rather see Beamer's 5-7 team that is always competitive and playing to win, over MusChump's 9-win fluke. Beamer has already won a ton of battles in recruiting and it will show on the field. And I'll tell you something else Beamer will never do...he'll never win only 2 games in a season and run the program into the ground!

Carolina beats Oklahoma, you heard it first. Choklahoma can't defend the Big 12,so the SEC will dominate them Oklahoma will be lucky to be 8-4

I think the Gamecocks rise and fall this season with their O Line.

This season doesnt matter. Check out the roster for 2025, mostly redshirt juniors and many seniors, average ranking around 4.2 stars. Sellers will be a 3rd year player by then. This season could be bad or decent, doesnt matter because the future looks fine. Best case scenario is 2025 USC has one loss and misses SEC championship game and gets into the playoffs.

Even missing UGA and Texas, SC could realistically only beat Vandy in the SEC. As it stands now, I don't think this team is going bowling with this schedule.

I see 6 wins minimum and I would not be surprised if we get 7, even 8. We will steal one game vs LSU, KY, MS, MO, A&M, CU possibly two or three. If they can get a W vs KY early it could give them the confidence to go on from there and put together a solid season. It’s a tough schedule but that’s why we love the SEC

What planet are these guys on. We hired an offensive line coach in Sean idiot who all he does is run up the middle out of the shotgun. Our run game will be terrible this year
