South Branch Valley Railroad: One Last Time Before OmniTrax
September 14th was the final day that SBVR would be owned by the state of West Virginia before the Omnitrax take over and with Omni's history of butchering every railroad they take over I made one last trip to see the classic 1st and 2nd gen EMD's hauling freight on their line before then. The SBVR received a unit train in early September and even with 5 engines total they had to split up the train and only took 40 cars total due to the grade in Springfield

Great video!! Hopefully SBVR lives on under new stewardship!!!
B&O 6420 is a true OG beauty!!!!! 🥹 Loving the sound of the horn
Very nice video.
My special needs son hopes that new ownership of the South Branch Valley Railroad won't interfere with the Potomac Eagle Excursion Train.
I love the sound of those old 9's pullin' full throttle!
Very nice! Really enjoyed the bridge crossing at the end. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning
It doesn't get any better than first generation Diesel's battling a grade with helpers on the rear
92 hit a truck about 8 days ago.
