Philly Cheesesteak for sure, but don't let anyone know because I'm from New York. Bagel with lox and pastrami on rye are good but a philly cheesesteak is a god tier sandwich as it combines 3 of the best foods...steak, sauteed onions, and melted cheese.

Hi, Southerner here. The MOST important thing about eating BBQ in America is understanding that just because you eat it once in one state, that it's all the same. It's not even the same in different regions of the same state, so be sure to try it lots of different places as well as different types, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, etc. Same goes for seafood!!!

Yup. We had a local Chicago style sandwich shop and the guy who ran it made an absolutely amazing Italian Beef sandwich topped with pastrami. And you could get it with Pepperoncini peppers and onions if you wanted. And I always ordered it juicy. He also had one called the 'triple threat' which was Italian beef, and Italian sausage, and then topped with pastrami again. That was great too. Just a small shop well known by most in town. And he'd make sandwiches free for bands coming to play the at the local Jazz bar too.

Hey I'm from NJ and that Pork Roll Sandwich is a staple. It's not bologna, it's a cured ham. I don't eat pork anymore but as a kid growing up this was the ultimate breakfast sandwich, found at diners and delis throughout the state. Turkey is very difficult to cook correctly because the breast meat is so lean and cooks so fast that it dries out by the time the fattier thighs and legs are done. A properly cooked turkey is brined and has the breast meat shielded by foil for most of the cooking process so it cooks slower and loses less moisture. You remove the foil for the last 20-30 minutes and crisp up the skin and let it rest afterwords like a steak.

Most of my life I laughed at folks worrying about food poisoning. My father demanded everything be overcooked and I felt it ruined the flavor. I used to say that I wanted a little taste of the life left. However then in December of 2017 I cooked some slightly expired pork (waste not, want not). Woke up next day gasping for breath, barely got dressed and stumbled outside and called an ambulance. My blood oxygen level was down to about 50%. Felt I was suffocating. They intubated me and told me I was near death and they were trying to figure out what happened. Finally figured food poisoning. In for a week, weak for a month. Now I am terrified of food poisoning.

The boneless pork chop sandwich is marinated in Italian dressing, grilled and topped with either provolone or Swiss cheese along with carmelized grilled onions. Mayonnaise and/or yellow mustard are the condiments. It’s really entertaining to watch people see how much flavor is in our food so thanks for making this video!

Taylor Ham / Pork Roll is made from pork. It’s cured with spices & brown sugar and then boiled and left to finish curing. It comes in a stick like bologna or you can buy it sliced in a box. You fry it and then put it on bread , usually a hard roll by itself or with egg & cheese. It’s a New Jersey thing until recently you could only get it in New Jersey , you’d be lucky to find it anyplace else in the US but in the last 15 to 20 yrs with the internet & shipping and so many people that moved from here in New Jersey across the country now you can find it in stores or just get it shipped to your door.

Then it's a short drive to Austin, and Houston is only a few short hours from that. You'd get to see a massive amount of the state that way.

At 68 now, I am finally able to go medium well. I don't like alot of seafood but I will eat catfish anytime it's on the menu. It doesn't taste "fishy". Since you are the outdoors type you should look up (maybe do a reaction video to) The Adirondacks. It's a state park in New York that is larger than the 5 biggest national parks (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Glacier, and Great Smokies) combined at 6.1 million acres. It was founded in 1892 and has been written in to the New York State Constitution to remain forever wild. Known for its expansive wilderness areas and 46 mountain peaks over 4,000ft - it is somewhere that would definitely take your breath away and give you plenty of opportunities to fish, hike, or whatever you want to do outdoors. And it will give you a taste of what New York is really like as people often think of New York City when they hear New York but never think of places like The Adirondacks, The Thousand Island Region, The Finger Lakes (wine country), or all the amazing glens and gorges of Central NY.

I wish I could find Brisket in Indiana. Not a single grocery store has them in my area. I have wanted to try brisket for years. I know the best way is that smoker. But I don't have access to a smoker. But I have heard of some great recipes from Jewish cooks that involve baking it low and slow as well. Every time I see video on brisket it makes me hungry and wish I could have it. Lol.

We have tried to get a Costco to come to town for years, but they won't because they believe there isn't a customer base that can afford to shop there. It unfortunately is a poor area for the most part. I know that, I am poor. But, I still have hope to try it someday. I have seen the size of one...and by myself...it looks like 3 meals, maybe 4 or 5 depending on how I do it. Which I can justify the expense if it lasts multiple meals. Also visit the other boroughs of NYC. I live in Queens, NYC , which is called the world’s borough. There are well over 130 ethnicities living here, all of whom have brought their food and cultures with them. About half the people here were born elsewhere, including me.

Anyone who says it's dangerous has obviously not visited. If you spend most of your time where people aren't, you're not going to get much out of your trip. The US is its people.

Honestly the only reason to avoid New York is that it can be quite expensive, but it's a great city with a lot to see and do and some of the best food in the world, both in terms of local specialties and authentic food from all over the country and the world. I've only been lucky enough to visit a couple of times and yeah, if you're not into cities I can see how it might not appeal to you, but it's a really great destination. Also, be aware when listening to recommendations about avoiding whole cities, states, or regions that a fair amount of America's polarized politics gets put into resentment toward places where the other side lives. You'll often hear more liberal or left-wing people telling you to avoid the South and more conservative or right-wing people telling you to avoid places like California, New York, or Chicago. You shouldn't listen to either of them, as a foreign visitor I think you'll have a great time no matter what part of the country you travel to. Certainly there are bad neighborhoods to avoid in some places, so you should listen to specific advice from locals about that kind of thing, but there really aren't any states or major cities that you'd need to completely avoid.

You can cook a really juicy turkey by simply stuffing it with quartered onions, and baking it covered with a lid (or sealed under foil), until the last , when you can uncover it and use the broiler to crisp the skin. The juice in the pan makes a wonderful gravy with just a bit of corn starch, simmered until thickened on the stovetop. Once you do that, you can play with the stuffing until you find a mix of fillings you like which keeps the bird moist and juicy, as well as flavorful. There is nothing better than Thanksgiving gravy, from the pan drippings of the stuffed turkey. There's so much it should last weeks, but it never does.

There is a "sandwich" not on any list or menu. My dad made it up when I was a child some 60 years ago. Slice of white bread Slice of what we call American cheese (Brits call it sandwich cheese) Sauted onions Crispy bacon (Brits call it streaky bacon) cooked Sliced tomato sauted or broiled This is an open faced sandwich meaning no top slice of bread. Use a baking tray or aluminum foil for easy clean up. Put cheese on plain untoasted bread. Broil until cheese slightly melted. Top with sauted tomato, sauted onions and crispy bacon. Broil again until cheese fully melted and edges of toast crispy. Cut into quarters and eat with your fingers getting a bit of each topping per bite. You will love it. We make 6 to 8 at a time.

My favorite Mac and cheese is the one I make occasionally. It's my Mac and beer cheese creation. I make a beer cheese sauce from scratch with some applewood smoked bacon mixed in and some more crumbled on top with some extra cheese so I get that nice crust on top with the slightly burnt edges. I don't make it often since it takes a little time to make and gets the kitchen hot, so I usually make it in the winter here in AZ. But now I really want to make it even though we are hitting 110F today and our air conditioner is not working (landlord says it'll be fixed in a couple days).

You can also add sugar, juices, beer and wine to make an even more flavorful turkey. I have been brining my turkeys and other tuffer meats for year.

Make a butter paste with softened butter salt pepper a little cayenne powder dried sage and dried lemon peel flakes and a little olive oil mix together spread the butter mixture under the skin of the turkey and all over the skin on the bird. Then place the turkey upside down on the rack. Cook in the oven as directed but the last hour to 1 1/2 hours take the turkey out of the oven and flip it right side up. I also stuff my turkey in the cavity with quartered onions garlic cloves quartered orange and lemon. This will change your mind about turkey promise!

Find a good mustard based mustard and vinegar based Carolina style barbeque sauce, then cook the turkey in the oven like you're going to make a big meal out of it. Once it's done, let it cool a bit and then shred the meat. Pour the barbeque sauce over it. You're welcome. BBQ Turkey. Edit: Having gotten further than the not liking turkey comment (I can only eat it as I laid out as I agree, not for me otherwise), fried soft shell crab on the Gulf of Mexico with fried eggs, sausage and grits was a constant staple growing up. When I was a teen we'd go to the grandparents house that lives on the water and during the evening at low tide in early June we'd go pick up soft shell crabs. Still my favorite seafood to eat at 40.
