In New Zealand they have something similar, their anthem “God Defend New Zealand” or “Aotearoa” is usually sung both in both English and Māori. Belgium, Finland, Switzerland and a few others have multi-language anthems too. Either that, or their anthems have multiple versions like Canada’s (English and French). South Africa’s is my favorite, though.

Amazing anthem South Africa! It perfectly shows Mandela's enlightened view of not simply replacing white dictatorship with black dictatorship but creating a country where all the cultures are encouraged to live together in peace. This is hands down the best anthem, ever, in all of history, all of time. No other anthem, NO OTHER ANTHEM incorporates so many languages as part of the actual anthem itself. It really is a testament to unity. This is great.

1manuscriptman The Marseillaise is up there, though not for the best of reasons anymore. But this anthem, what is more a sign of national unity then if your national anthem is meant to have each verse sung in a different language. I really can't think of another anthem that does that. I don't hear Marseillaise sung in Breton or Occitian much!

People in the USA have been brainwashed by the right to loathe anything different than them with some fascistic sort illogic. However, I don't see much of that for this anthem. And its MEANT to be sung as such a diverse anthem. And its message is that of unity. The US anthem has no reference to embracing all of society.

Such a beautiful anthem! Great singing and great keys. Souns like it came from a musical! But what I love the most about this anthem is how it's sung in 5 different languages! The words in general and how it's in different languages just shows how South Africa is proud of their mixed races and how unity is so important to them. Just and awesome national anthem! Whether black or white people are people and I have an absolutely wonderful black family and the only difficulties I've experienced has been from Afrikaners like you. The Anthem was meant as a unifying objective, if you chose not to accept it, it is to your own chagrin.

Snake Productions And!? What is wrong with that, it is my heritage. My father fought under that flag, unfortunately I did not, I did however fight under the new flag. A.k.a. corrupt ANC government. And the other half is a German flag, as my mother is fully German. Which in turn makes me half German, not to mention it is my second language besides Afrikaans and English.
