Souring on a Son

Ойын-сауық

The defendant brings his mom to court. He says his mom illegally signed his name to a lease on an apartment they were all living in, but she paid rent late. He’s suing for unpaid rent, a bedroom set, and cleaning fees. The defendant argues her son knew about the lease.

Depends. My mom and I had (still do sometimes) a rough relationship. Our dynamics are not like most peoples though. My mom is gonna be 79 in September and I live with her and help her out. I pay the mortgage payment, buy the bulk of the groceries, and pay some of the utilities. I do that because of what my mother dealt with and did for me. When I was younger I would throw the whole I didn't ask to be born and you didnt do anything special for me, however I look at some of my family members, like my daughter that I adopted shes my bio cousin, and know my mom did a lot. Not every parent is a parent.

Parent or not you have NO right to mess with your child’s credit. That’s THEIR score to be responsible for & THEIR future not for others to be playing with. My mom screwed my credit the second I turned 18 by opening lines of credit in my name or putting bills in my name, would hide the mail once it showed up in my name. Found a brief case full of unopened past due bills, when I asked her about it she told me at first she was paying them. Eventually caved & told me she couldn’t afford it but didn’t want to “burden me” with it aka take any responsibility or give me a chance to help. Only found out when I went to get a phone plan for myself. 29 as of yesterday & still working to fix the damage she had done.

How could you possible say that? Your mother gave you life then wiped your runny nose and your stinky butt. Took care of you, fed you, clothed you, protected you. I bet her whole life changed when you came and she chose you over her own life. Then you want to point fingers at her for putting you above her own needs? You can't be a parent of a child old enough to buck on you if you are a parent at all. Just saying kids don't come with instructions and parents are human and they do make mistakes. Quit holding your mom accountable for everything she has ever done wrong and start acknowledging that without her choice to birth you, you wouldn't be here to spit in her eye. I am sure she hasn't held you accountable for all the bad you have done or by the time you hit 4 or 5 years old you would've been left out in the cold. Parents go threw hell for their children and their children are so ungrateful it is sad. There is an old saying that what you dish out to your parents your kids will double or triple the pain you caused on you. You only have one set of parents and believe it or not that is the only true love you will ever feel, the sooner you learn this the faster you will grow up and the better your life will become as well as your kids if you have any.

It IS criminal. It's identity fraud & the person who's been victimized can do several things to rectify the situation, depending on the laws of their state. Usually that includes some sort of notarized affidavit stating what happened, making a police report & cooperating with the investigation & possibly prosecution of the offender. First thing for the victim to do is freeze their credit. A letter should be put in their credit report explaining everything. It can take a while but it can be made right or nearly. I'd be so pissed!

As a mom of three adults I say this…. Those parents are 100% responsible for EVERYTHING. Even as adults we are to protect them when needed and NEVER become a negative in their lives. Shame on this mom.

These “parents” are one of these most trifling people I’ve ever seen. They fkd him over but they’re mad that “he disrespected them”. They deserved everything he may have said to them. I hope he realizes that family is the people who actually love and care for him….not just those you share blood with.

This just inspired me to follow through and sue my mom. I put a internet bill in my name at my moms new apartment after she left my dad and she left me with a 1k bill. We haven’t spoke in months bc of it and she caused my credit to decline and I just can’t get over it.

Don’t leave out the part that I was on the ventilator due to Covid and almost lost my life. That I woke up paralyzed and had to learn how to walk and feed myself again. That as soon as I got off the ventilator that I told you from the hospital numerous times to go over to the apartment and to get the equipment in order to return it. I even asked you to take your brother so he could unscrew it. Instead, you chose not to pick up the cable equipment and you took all my decor and picked through the furniture you wanted. You were told that it would be a charge for unreturned equipment. We have not spoken due to your lack of compassion and responsibility. Not only am I still recovering and lost my job due to not being able to speak because the ventilator damaged my voice box, but I suffered financially and you refused to allow me to pay you what I could afford which was $70 per month, $35 weekly. In fact, you accepted 1 payment and then changed the agreement. It would be paid by now. You forget to add that you JUST bought a new computer and have been using mine that I gifted you. As well as, the furniture I bought you for your apartment and the thousands of dollars of nail tech supplies you were given. If you take me to court, you will be countersued and you need to understand that you went back on a financial agreement yourself. You are lack compassion and are selfish. Not very intelligent either. If I had a very ill mother with over $200k in life insurance, I’d be sure to not post on the internet because I would be disinherited from any policies. You are the example of a child that has a lot of nerve. Verses a child that has been taken advantage of. You have a lot of nerve to go on here and not give the full story. You need to really look at the person you are. I have been in and out of the hospital for the past year due to this long term recovery. I cannot believe your shamelessness. I wrote all your responses to get you the management position you have to make the money you make. You have the audacity to speak on karma. You should prepare for the karma you are earning now. I still love you. Always have. My life was not more valuable to you than $1k? And put me out here like I’m the parent in this video. It’s a sad moment to see this today.

They had a phenomenal relationship before this and hopefully they will continue after this obstacle. They are not bad parents just made a mistake based on emotions and desperation. Happy healing to the family.

Sorry, y’all, but you’ll understand when you or your loved one is on your deathbed you’ll believe the scripture in the Bible that says “LOVE triumphs over judgement “, “ LOVE covers a multitude of sins” and to FORGIVE 77 x 7. ‘Honor you mother and father’ if you want to be blessed.

Having a good relationship w/your parents is very important and it’s sad seeing kids not getting along w/ their parents but some parents are very toxic and the children will remember how they were treated growing up & as adults they decide if they want to deal w/ the drama anymore……most end up cutting their parents off.
