Soundstream isn't off brand. They've been around for years. Their amps and subs are some of the best.. I still have a 1500 watt amp that I've had for over a decade.

Yes the apps are not as sharp looking as other radios( alpine pioneer) I like it first off-brand radio i've ever owned, and it did meet all the rated specs on the advertised specs

You can buy the German kit that allows you to cut the air Box and remold A new cover and at that point any double din will flush in. Of course I didn't ask what year? At most likely the answer is yes however that car calls for like 8 hours for the labor alone.

Johannes Jarnæs if its closed when you turn car off it wull remain closed until you activate it. If its open when car goes off it will automatically open when ignition is activated. But yes it can be set to stay closed.

The phone updates make mirroring work and then not work after every phone upgrade I’d recommend using a radio like the Kenwood DDX9707 or 9907XR with WiFi the screen casting is wireless and works better with phone updates

With the newer WiFi units out this is no longet on the top of my list but the price has dramatically dropped since i bought this

Quick4A6 Decent yes depends mostly on series. This companies upper end is nice. The entry level series is same as power acoustik with better more accurate rms numbers. The micro amps are powerful and clean but Soundstream does best on SPL lines while the sister Precision Power brand does better with power class series in door speakers and phantom amp line. Just stay away from Aracnid line.

Baltimore md it has an av input. You can add a source. So a universal car based one sure however they don't work well while moving. I'd go with apple tv or something like a roku

About 3 or 4 inches. You can't even see the bottom screen when driving.

Yes I sold the car. My installer bought it now has it in his Tahoe. I’d recommend using a WiFi unit like a DDX9907XR with screen casting as Pioneer Kenwood JVC Etc all have updates faster than these off brands but the unit is solid as a nav and dvd player

Mike Henderson yes. If its already open when car is turned off it will open that way. If you want it to be closed so boot up is smooth id recommend opening it after start up

Because it won't support Android phones above 7.0 This is what makes this head unit worthless for me. No Android and only works up to 7.0 for mirroring so you can't even have waze or any other app without your phone and if you update your phone it's over.

Then a Kenwood will be a better fit for you. The push buttons on a Pioneer are not as east to use as a knob. New 9706 Excelon should ship soon.

I sold the car its still working that i know of. Its i its 3rd vehicle now but i no longer have this radio. The linkswell product is more like what i want now bc it has carplay and android as well as internet capabilities. I use the Kenwood 9906XR in my veloster nd it does Screen Mirror as well. This unit needs an update too often to keep up. It was a great concept but epsilons tech support is slow to fix update issues.

The VRCP65 does carplay. This radio was designed for Android

Rich Diamondz I am about to pull radio for software update and testing. I will be able to tell you more soon. But yes still working both in the Acura and the H2 shop hummer. Samsung's last update messed up mirroring but radio is flawless

Yes you have two options when you're buying a cargo camera most the time you have an option for a switch that will allow you to switch between car go in reverse however there is also part numbers like AMV sw4 from Automotive integration Solutions that will allow you to use up to 4 cameras. This would allow your turn signals as well for blind spot detection

That is not something that is built into any radio but does require separate brain using two cameras is pretty simple you just need a switch

Well they were made is U.S. then Americans started buying what was cheaper and companies started sourcing from China. Soundstream sold out. But new products have gotten better on upper enda last few years 2019 will continue this trend. Entry amps will stay entry. There higher end has remained decent. If your amp is less than $100 online from any brand its Chinese junk usually. PPI and Soundstream did sell to Epsilon and Epsilons fall is chasing internet sales verse dealers. Thats where marketing supercedes dealer support.

That cars a 92? Or 2002? Dashboard looks WAYYYY updated for a 92 model.

Make sure Epsilon is going to continue supporting updates. The downside is when a phones security is updated the mirroring stops working. Wireless carplay with screen mirroring built in May be a better solution these days. Or run a radio with HDMI and you can wire a Roku or Apple TV into it as well.
