We have similar EMD Locomotives with sound matching this in India! Built under license! EMD GT46PAC! 186 with single cab and 525 with duel cabs! Indian designation is WDP-4, WDP-4B and WDP-4D!

NS runs a track at the back of my property and I see these almost every day. I’m a gear head but not a train guy, so while I don’t know the ins and outs; these still fascinate me. It’s awesome to walk down to the tracks and get a flyby. One broke down on Christmas Eve about 2 miles down the track and I could hear the rumble of the 710 at idle from my living room. It was wild.

The 710s sure are something to hear in person when they're idling. The bass those things give off is crazy

The VTR has 2 of them from FEC. WHEN THEY were with FEC THEY WERE # 101 & #102. But with a fresh coat of paint that look like a big red 🍅 before they gotten their stripes and VTR markings. Then they were known as VTR #431 & #432. I miss them terribly. Cause they have been m.o.a for the passed 8 months i I've not seen nor heard there sweet sounding turbines. Hopefully soon. Sweet catch bud i so miss them. And the wall of diesel fuel these babies give off wow what a high i get. I nick named the 2 as "the twins"

I too enjoy two stroke exhuast after fumes in the same way the gasoline and diesel fumes smell good and aromatic to me. What can I say, aromatic "VOC" hydrocarbons smell good, no surprise there. Luckily here in the Chicago area I not only still see ACes all the time (every tier I railroad has em rostered here, especially UP as we are the nation's rail hub) and not only that, but metra is a common sight too with their F40PHs/PH2s and MP36PH3S' locomotives with the 645 motor. It's wonderful to railfan here honestly. Best wishes to yall down in Florida! Haven't visited the family down there since the pandemic started 😢

In europe, the Euro series of locomotives loosely relates to the SD70 series in North America. With the Euro 4000 being the European built counterpart to the SD70M & the Euro 4001 being the European built counterpart of the tier 4 SD70ACE. It's true.

I'm currently working on a concept for a futuristic diesel-electric locomotive, and it's going to be based off the SD70ACE. I'm working on the engine sound and I hope to make it sound even more satisfying than this! Nice video!

Its side profile looks mean, and all business. The toasters have no such look to them. It is my preferred loco design. I majorly dislike the T4 of the Aces with the flat uniform engine cover.
