He used to listen to Beatles record and would over and over for days on end try to sing an octave higher than each Beatle. Then he spent hours and days on end singing an octave higher than that.

+Art Pintauro Yeah, he's really powerful in this version - I've been listening to a lot of acoustic versions of this song (saw Cornell live last year), and even on the album version the percussion rhythms n Burden aren't that prominent (compared to the guitars) but here they're really driving the song. Cameron is truly great.

I love Zeppelin, and if they had never existed, Soundgarden would have been very different. But for creativity, there’s no contest. Every goddam song is a different tuning, and they all work. Everyone wishes they could sound like Plant, but Plant must wish sometimes he could sound like Cornell.

CGCGGE (Open C doubled 5th) - used by Soundgarden on songs "Pretty Noose" and "Burden in my Hand" (Down on the Upside) and "Head Down" and "Half" (Superunknown) I figured it out in '94 when I heard Head Down..that song made me cry almost it was so bleak and original.

CGCGGE (Open C doubled 5th) - used by Soundgarden on songs "Pretty Noose" and "Burden in my Hand" (Down on the Upside) and "Head Down" and "Half" (Superunknown) I figured it out in '94 when I heard Head Down..that song made me cry almost it was so bleak and original.
