Tbh the fact that the Boom 2 is even this close to the Xtreme 4 is embarrassing for JBL. The difference is minimal between the two (Boom 2 is even better in some cases) and we are comparing a £120 speaker vs a £330 speaker (Almost triple the price) which makes the Boom 2 a instant win in my mind.

That's factz i get it jbl in paper should be killing soundcore do alotof people will defend jbl but in this a case the underdog have stepped up over the years with this speaker and the x300 x400 and x5 or 600 is a beast

I didnt regret buying Soundcore Motion Boom Plus instead of Jbl Extreme 3. The Price and the Quality and Loudness of Boom Plus is way better

The truth is that the JBL Xtreme 4 just got it's @ss whooped by the Soundcore Boom 2 and no amount of justification will change that. For nearly 3X the price I expect at LEAST double the performance, quality and endurance and, clearly, that's not the case. To put it in automotive terms, JBL thinks of themselves as a BWM and charges accordingly for their products. One can see how it would be difficult to stomach that a Hyundai (a freaking GOOD Hyundai) just spanked them and be very hard to admit, specially for their fans.

Soundcore more clarity and good midrange vocal even their bass.

I have my boom 2 since yesterday and absolutely happy with it. It's the first bluetooth speaker i ever had, where i have no need to change the EQ. Taste is so different... But these both speakers are so similar, that the boom 2 is the clear winner over all, when it comes to the price performance.

Im not sure about Xtreme 4 and "EASY USE" it sounds pretty bad with too much upper mids and treble

Honestly, Am a musician, and a former orchestra conductor. When it comes to speakers. You can't compare JBL with any speaker cause they use a far more advanced way to produce sound. Bass, Sound Balance and depth. It's a full experience unlike other speakers where the speaker has more high and mid sound with out bass. Some have Bass but no mid and high which makes the bass sound cover the singer almost like the singer is in water. So for me it's JBL, although they're prices are insane but I can see why it's generally more expensive than most speakers. Cause of the really powerful sound.

Great review. I am surprised how plain the review was. It’s a shame virtually 99% reviews or articles relating to Chinese brand speakers are all paid influencers. But not this one. The review is not following paid formats like most of the social media. And I am surprised that even the comments are now following a paid format. It is painfully obvious that no sound engineer in their right mind will record their songs like how these Chinese audio companies reproduce them. It will be a good way to handle enterprise recordings and surveillance because you are only interested with the speeches of your subjects and any strange percussion type of sounds that may indicate unauthorized activities. But those are not musics. JBL’s dsp processing will at least reproduce music. This review explained that, with samples illustrated that.

I'm kinda a bass head which one has the best low end bass

If JBL isn’t capable of doing better than this, they’ll have to start lowering the price of their speakers.

I just purchased a Wking x20, & intend on doing a side by side comparison with my JBL Boombox 3. I have a feeling that JBL will get severely exposed 😂.

Don't you think that Soundcore has already won at the point where Soundcore Boom 2 and JBL Xtreme 4 are compared? If you can get people to pay for a product and get similar performance at a much lower cost, of course, you'd go for something cheaper. The ones who don't care about the price difference are the real JBL fans. You hate to admit it, but Anker's Soundcore app functionality has already exceeded JBL, and that's the reality.

Jbl with all that price couldn't beat the soundcore. What a shame

@@itsaboutgaming6717 I have both and definitely prefer the Boom 2. The charge 5 even though a good speaker doesn’t compare or compete with boom 2. Especially after sorting a custom equalizer setting in the soundcore app.
