Everyone forgets that Gene is human like the rest of us but I guess its the price of fame. Hopefully you'll do a By Busting The Bank and do some Rock n Roll All Night, and other great classics as mentioned here.

What’s the point of trying to sound like KISS, emulate Ace Frehley specs, then start with two songs that had nothing to do with Ace Frehley? Also KISS had also used Fender amps in addition to Marshall’s in the studio. To be honest it doesn’t even have to be a Les Paul. He used a super distortion in the bridge- exclusively. 100-watt marshals, and occasionally an EHX Line booster. Do this again, break the bank, and try to sound like the KISS Alive! Record. Which really is the standard for KISS tone. If you really want to get detail oriented, you can add an octave pedal. Probably a mutron.

Hmmm Kiss are a two guitar band Paul Stanley has used a number of different guitars over the years I think he's pictured with a Gibson Firebird on Alive! He moved on to an Ibanez Iceman and then a Washburn. Gene Simmons Axe bass is made by Cort if I remember rightly. Crazy Crazy Nights wasn't classic line up though. I'd be interested in seeing a by busting version if you have chance.

I've been hoping for this one for so long and it breaks my heart to see how it turned out. Hopefully they look at this like their first attempt at Van Halen and re visit it again. KISS is difficult because what era do you concentrate on and do you go live sound (Dimarzio super distortion and Marshall) or do you go studio (Tele and Fender amp)...talking about 70's here. 80's/90's was EMG's and Floyd Roses. Or now with Duncans and Hughes and Ket. Might have to go By Busting to really make it work.
