Ya, it blew me away when I got the email. At first I was surprised that they actually responded. Then I read what they said and was extremely surprised that they said only their people have the proper equipment to service their products. I said "Ya ok, we shall see about that"

It has a shorted output most likely.

I don't know 100% for the output but does it have one or two ICs on the output riser card? I would look into the datasheets of the IRS2052m and the IRS2093m. I have not repaired any of these due to the solder joints of those cards, so I cannot provide much information.

What’s a good 2000 class d for bass . Any recommendations brands help

There are many and I mean many amplifiers in that power range so be careful when choosing. I can't give recommendations as I don't know the installation it will be driving. Many amplifier failures are from improper installation and use. I would look into a small Korean-designed amplifier such as DC, Ruthless, Gately, etc.

Todd I have SD2000.1.. the input and output mosfet blown.. I can't read the numbers.. it's been wiped out the number helped

I don't get these in often enough to have solid information on the parts used for the 2000.1. I can figure it out if it was here but other than that I don't have device type available. If I had to guess the 1405s in the power supply and the 4115s or the 4127s in the output.

I was considering buying a Soundigital amplifier but after seeing this I refuse to purchase any of their products. This is insane. These are so compact they lack a lot of rail capacitors like their older models.. not a huge issue on these but on subwoofer amplifiers the power supply can sag since they are so small there is no room for decent sized rail capacitors

I have one that doesn’t put any sound out it only turns on trying to trouble shoot

You may find a shorted output IC. This will keep the supply from running.

They are nice amplifiers I just don't like the business practices they use. I have most all their amps figured out now besides the small 4 channel amps.

Well, I do not take them in due to the length of repair time. Since they don't provide me with schematics I have to reverse engineer the board to determine what they used which takes substantial time to do,

I don't take in Sound Digital amplifiers but only a select few of the amplifiers I have been able to identify the parts for. So it all depends on which amplifier you are needing repaired.

Unfortunately, I do not service their amplifiers at this time due to the high rate of output failures. I have not identified some of their output ICs.

Yep, thats why Roght to Repair is so important. I guess they don't realize that responses like that and defacing components just makes it a challenge to figure out, and that a lot of techs enjoy doing that and then passing the information to everyone due to thier silly secretive polices.

Unfortunately, I do not support their products still. I have managed to identify a few of their defaced components (in the 4 channel amps) but due to the lack of time, I have not been able to proceed with the repair of their products. We must thank them for the lack of support to private repair businesses.

never got why companies don't provide schematics for items that are in any case replaced by a new model in 3/5 years and is full of planned obsolescence parts,they would have much more consideration in the eyes of the users and the repair guy,the time of "authorized repair centers" is definitely over

Highly agreed. Even with me saying that I would sign an NDA they still said no. Or I was thinking maybe they don't even have that info? Who knows, but what I do know is I will never work for them.
