    What do you use to increase the volume while playing? I can't find it and I really need jt

    For just my listening, I use the volume on my speakers. For actual rendered volume, I use the volume faders/sliders in the mixing rack. You can assign a sound to a track and control it individually or everything with the master track.

    Really great tutorial! Do you have any recommendations for sound libraries/packs to buy? I'm an editor so I mostly use simpler sounds like risers, downers, impacts, mechanical sounds, and atmospheres. Anything to help with music editing. For example, I love the downer you used at 3:08-3:09.

    Hey, thank you! I think you should check out A Sound Effect and Sonniss for good marketplaces. As for creators, Boom libraries and Soundmorph make incredible sounds but they can be pricey. Free option: 99Sounds.

    Yeah, A Sound Effect has a lot of variety and can be much more affordable since it's not just one producer. I've tried to get my sound libraries on there but I only have two so they may be looking for a bigger collection.

Reaper is a good one for Sound Design. Synths: Serum, Pigments, Massive X, Phase Plant.

    @@TransverseAudio I'm targeting a variety of genres and I'm not actually all that sure what a DAW is. The program I primarily use is Musescore for writing the stuff because it's free and sample creation is done via audacity and turned into a soundfont with Polyphone.

    @@connordarvall8482 I would definitely recommend using a full-featured DAW if you are doing sound design. FL Studio makes it easy with Edison but Reaper is cheap and many sound designers for video games use it.

    Yeah, I hear that a lot but I find video production, that is, producing the video, is a different thing entirely. I overlooked the audio big time in my earlier videos. It's a new environment and I guess it effected my focus on the thing I knew more about.

    I'm not a fruity loops guy, I'm a REAPER guy, but this video almost makes me want to go out buy an Image-Line license just to make sound effects...since that's very difficult in REAPER.

    nope, more than that. for simplicity's sake, this guy was using samples but a good part of it is also to do with making the sound that you hear before effects, using wavetables and filtering and many other things that affect the sound.

    Chuchur did make a good point. This video is to illustrate a good foundation or direction for someone to start learning about sound design. It can get a lot more complicated and when it comes to that, I don't know what I don't know.
