Thanks a lot, I'm happy do to my part. See that as an investment: if I want to live in a world with better music, this is the best I can do ;p
Can't believe this is out here for free. I've paid for sound design courses and been incredibly disappointed in them. But this one spends time on the fundamentals and explaining how everything stems from those, so that I can really understand HOW these tools work and not just "slap this knob up if you want dirty / wide / full sound brah." Just awesome.

I started watching yesterday this video on my TV being completely stoned. I'm going to be honest, I put the video cuz it was Sant Joan here yesterday, which is a festivity with tons of fireworks, and I needed something to keep the dogs distracted; "this guy is going to make tons of noise" I thought, "perfect". I saw the ENTIRE VIDEO in one sitting, and today I watched it AGAIN. Mate, you're GOLD, what you explained here for free is just too good of information. As a kind of stuck techno producer, I kindly can say a huge thank you. For now you have my Sub for sure.

That tape delay LFO 🤯 that's a really cool trick
Only 5 minutes in and already learning so much. Incredible!
Thanks for creating this! I agree with all the others - this could be the one single best free learning resource on the internet for starting out with synthesis and sound design and get a coherent overview of the basics. Usually I prefer to read books to learn, but your practical examples and illustrations really add value. There is no filler, no bullshit, no marketing, just very well-presented information. By the way, I'm exactly the kind of person preferring to have one bookmark, so this is absolutely perfect! Now I am very much looking forward to checking out your music theory tutorial! And then I consider saving these gems to my harddrive as a backup, just in case something happens to the internet ;)

Been working on taking notes on this video for about a week now, and I’m halfway through the video. Im already so much more ready to go into producing soon than I was before. Can’t wait to finish the video and start making sounds! Thank you so much, this video has been incredibly helpful, and could very well be the reason I actually am able to produce the way I want to.
At the beginning of the year, I hardly understood music theory. At 6:53 and I swear that understanding music theory a lot more just makes me appreciate music a lot more in general. What a journey! 30 March.
Better than any paid sound design course. Thank you very much

outstanding as a small part of any basic course at the community college
This video is ridiculously good. I have played with many of these technologies for years and have some kind of feel for what they do, but this video has made me connect the dots on so many things. I feel like I gained a new understanding of what each of these things do on a technical level. The way you put the effects into context by showing how you can achieve the same thing in multiple ways was what really made it click for me. I also enjoyed the little bits of advice you threw in there from time to time, like filtering after each distortion, or detuning and then saturating the bass. This gave me so much inspiration! Thanks so much, you deserve a lot more views and subscribers.
@Woochia

Your comment makes me very happy, this is exactly why I made this series of videos. I saw a lot of tutorials that gave a sense of how to use each effect, but none really explained in details what they do. So I made this series to try and connect all the dots.

@@Woochia You did a fantastic job, that's how I like to learn things, everything is well explained in detail, and also very important to see examples and uses cases
This video makes any to-pay-for- sound- design- courses absolute obsolete. Very entertaining and informative. It is by far the best sound design video one can find on KZread. And don't forget to mention the guy with the black cap, you used to illustrate what you show.
the youtube algorithm favors "quick tips and tricks" style videos over this longer format style, but this is where all the good stuff is. I got my notepad out.
The amount of work you put here is just outstanding. Thanks for this very high quality content... wish you all the best!!
