Completely unrelated but I really like how in SC4, Talim uses both Soulcalibur & Soul Edge at the same time.

She’s one of three characters who have wielded both Soul Calibur and Soul Edge together, (Algol and Azwel are the other two) but she’s the only non boss/evil character to do so.

​@Mister_Dollz Kilik & Dampierre also have Soul Calibur & Soul Edge as the ultimate weapon in Soul Calibur 4/ Broken Destiny, respectively, called Embrace of Souls & Bipolar Hidden Sword (Imitation).

It makes sense that Maxi loses HP at top speed considering SEC as nunchaku was just a pair of spidey sticks that were probably stabbing into him all the time. I always hated how Nightmare's SEComplete looked like an evil slice of pizza.

Yunsung’s Soul Edge looks like something you’d find at an abandoned butcher’s shop.

Even when I was playing the game at age 8, I knew Yoshimitsu’s Soul Edge was busted beyond belief, and mind you I only mained him, Yunsung, Maxi, and Kilik (when I needed to spam in Weapon Master missions). I’m surprised there was one even considered better than his.

Unrelated but I wish they included a corrupted version of every character either when they used Soul Edge or if a character uses Soul Edge in every battle in arcade mode they could have a cutscene of them transforming into their corrupt form right before the final boss fight.

This is the kind of content that new fighting games are sorely missing. Soul Calibur 2 had hours and hours replayability with all the different game modes and content.

Not the Toshinden music in the background! My guy has good taste!

Honestly it does raise the question, why DID we never get to use the original Soul Edge ever again? It can't be because of the pistol sword because of the imitiation blade and... the entire existance of Shura? The darn thing is modelled in SC6, very odd you just can't use it.

Cervantes's SC4 Soul Edge blades are actually designed almost identically to his original Soul Blade version, but for some reason they are of a blue/purple tint than the red/orange like in the original. Interestingly, in SC2 and SC3, Cervantes's Soul Edge (with Nirvana - base weapons) portray Soul Edge with a blue/purple tint as well.

wait, Nightmare could use Soul Calibur???!? I don't remember that. granted I haven't played Soul Calibur 2 in almost 20 years and it was my brother's game so he might not have unlocked everything, but still, it seems pretty weird that Nightmare can wield the only thing in the universe that can kill him.

Nightmares soul edge looks like a cow leg

Nightmare, the true wielder and ultimate master of Soul Edge, can't use its complete form without getting hurt. Honestly Nightmare you should forget that sword and go solo, you already look cool enough without it.

ivys is absolutely horrible… most of her weapons are bad, i normally stick to wiseman mace or chained flail
