Soul Calibur III - Sophitia English & Japanese Voices

Ойындар

Sophitia's English and Japanese voice clips from Soul Calibur III.
The English VA is Eden Riegel, also known as the voice of Hitomi in the Dead or Alive series and Coco Bandicoot in the Crash Bandicoot series (since Crash 4), amongst other roles.
The Japanese VA is Michiko Neya, also known as the voice of Natalia Kimlasca-Lanvaldear in the Tales Of series and Hsien-Ko in the Darkstalkers series, amongst other roles. She was the Japanese voice of Sophitia since the original Soul Edge, although Soul Calibur III was her last appearance in the role.

I like both voices, I think Riegel's is very fitting for Sophitia, but some of the line reads feel a bit flatter to me in this game compared to in SCII. Like 0:40 "Gods, grant me strength!" and 0:32 "Gods, guide me!" sound better to me in SCII as they're read with a bit more urgency in that one. Might also just be that Diane Holmby gave a bit more bark to her voice in general, Riegel's performance seems a bit softer and more nurturing to me. Almost like Riegel emphasizes Sophitia's maternal side while Holmby emphasizes her warrior side.
