Great interview. As someone who worked with the Soros Fund for several years, I wish Rubenstein would have asked about the Soros Fund support of soft on crime District Attorneys. For example District Attorneys such as Kim Gardner, George Gascon, Jesse Boudin, Kim Foxx, Alvin Bragg and many others lack of prosecution of criminals has resulting in an increase in crime. Why provide political contributions to these these bad actors?

The most prudent thing for everyone to do right now is to invest in other sources of income that do not rely on the government. Especially in light of the present global economic crisis. This is still an excellent opportunity to invest in stocks and digital currencies.

Completely disagree. They have to raise rates to make it look like they're doing something about inflation. There's too much debt now v.s GDP... there's nothing that can stop inflation (except for a default) as countries have to keep money printing to service debt. .

I have always loved dividends as well. In the last year I've started selling puts for extra income. It's a strategy that not too many investors know about. It can be highly profitable, as long as you manage your risk.

Its the same here 12:00. It scares me when people say that they will prioritize one group. The DEI movement is notorious for stepping on the neck of one group to allow another group in based on their arbitrary goals or quotas. The entire movement is a paradox where they create biases trying to remove biases while competency is thrown out the window.

Well I don't wntirely agree with the thought all women lead companies results in all good and less negative outcomes. I think the problem was just the culture of certain companies and human nature is what I think is really the problem. women and girls can still be competitive and greedy ad well. Especially around eachother so this idea that if I women was the ceo or founder then the company wouldn't be greedy or become a monopoly but no I think that samething can go for women because at the core those women are human and have human flaws just like man do. But I think women are capable in alot fields to do great work. That's what I would focus on is hiring quality women who have shown they can do really well.

Individuals self-select for CFA, CAIA - often gates to enter the investment industry in any meaningful capacity. US-domiciled charterholders, candidates are overwhelming male and non-black. So the DEI issue isn't being caused by employers - nor can they adequately address it, as equally qualified candidates of diversity just are not choosing to enter the arena. Now, if an industry trade group is formed to specifically nudge diverse candidates into the various recognized training pipelines and they succeed - that's a possibility!

In the US if you're working at a Hedge Fund the majority of the investment teams, including analysts have a former investment banking background, buy-side, or other. You won't find many charterholders in the hedge fund industry because it isn't required to generate returns - and for them it's all that matters. CFA Institute teaches curriculum, not ability or skill. If you're at a mutual fund, or insurance company they may look for those credentials more because that's their hiring criteria. The CFA designation is more embellishing than anything else, and it's really on-the-job experience where you cut your teeth. CFA is not indicative of how good you'll be because it's just a set of examinations. I agree there are a lot of non-black financial professionals, but the topic of hedge funds and asset mangement don't enter the dicussion within black ethnic groups as much. I know there are black people who wish to enter the industry, which is nice to see the composition changing.
