That sorghum is amazing. Your oats looked nice too. Was a great year for small grain. Nice shot sequence to show the crop progression.😊. It was like being in the field with you. Awfully hot…. Those led lights did the job.

Thanks. Sure is nice to have all that feed. We have some clouds and breeze today. Feels a lot nicer than yesterday.

I'm going to have to try some sorghum next summer for green chop, that stuff really grew nice.... She's been a real scorcher that last couple days, bet it felt way better wrapping last night ,than baling yesterday afternoon..... Thanks for taking us along Will.....

I think green chopping that stuff from Augusr until frost would be a good idea. Even on normal years this is a tough time of year for pastures. I have 94 here now. Too hot. 🥵🤬

NH sold crop dividers for Haybines in the past. Merely something that would split tall, stalky stuff to the cutterhead, without knocking it over. You are doing a great job cutting stuff way taller than the reel.👍

There was a divider on this one when I got it but it looked like someone had caught it on a few too many fence posts. 🤣 I think it's laying around here somewhere. ait could probably be resurrected with a little work. Thanks.

I grew sorgum for the first time this year, and my first bale was around #2000 😂 (5 X 5.5). I ended up making the rest about 50 inches. Thanks for the vids

That sure is a good job done Will👍 At least you had help to load the wrapper, it was just me trying to work the one I used, not fun. It was over 95° when I got done raking, that stuff I'm going to square bale is dry. Maybe it will be cooler and if I bale before noon tommrow. Have a barley pop for me😊

I'm extremely happy with how it turned out considering our rainfall this summer. We definitely had more moisture here than a lot of places but still way below average. Thanks Dustin.

Nice looking feed, but do you folks have a rake so you can rake it to dry the bottom side up so its not as green when you want to bale it up?.

I do have a rake but this was actually right on to a little drier than it should have been for wrapped baleage. I have never made completely dry hay from Sorghum Sudan always baleage.

By time it dries how much of protein do you think it would have?

BMR trait Sorghum Sudan is around 10-11% I've never tested my baleage but suspect it's lower than 10. It has a high energy value and keeps cows and heifers in great shape through the winter. Thanks.
