The art certainly brings back that old magic feel

I got the kickstarter precons and it’s very fun. It’s basically magic over a grid. There is a lot of different tech and a lot less instant interaction.

I love the strategy of placing your sites as well as how many sites you want to have. When to draw them or play them it is a really fun game, even though I have only played twice with the print and play set.

First and foremost Thank You Chris P for sponsoring the box, and allowing us to get more insight into this TCG. The only thing I've seen on this is on this channel, and the cards do look phenomenal. Honestly it just looks very interesting, if I knew there would be a demand in my area for it, I would love to try it, but not sure, if there cheap entry points, I may have to look more into it down the road, so many MTG decks I want to work on first (followed by some Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon and Digimon after that). I may have only started really playing magic around OG Theros, but have always appreciated the old school art from the sets of the past, so this does look exceptional to me. I agree with the Dreadmaw assessment. Personally I want one just to try out in Gishath. Combine that with the New Ghalta and you have some real fun to be had. I 100% agree with the Land Deed looking like a Grim Tutor. Another awesome opening from the channel, a huge thank you to you and Chris P for providing us with the channel and product to enjoy this intriguing new product (least new to me). trebuchet, siege engine utilizing a long arm and the principles of leverage to launch projectiles. The trebuchet was one of the top choices for artillery in ancient and medieval warfare, having the ability to throw heavier projectiles farther than earlier catapults could......................This is from a Google search, so it appears it the same as a catapult, just upgraded?

I backed the kickstarter, and have played a couple games. It’s definitely fun, and calling it a mix of MTG and chess is very accurate. I’m looking forward to my beta product that just shipped, and cracking/playing this game more.

It plays great, there isn’t instants in the game except for one (dodge roll) but it has that chess aspect to it and it’s super fun. Even with the base set, between the sites, the dynamics of the board itself and the size of the set it seems like there is so many possibilities as far as deck building goes.

A trebuchet is a different machine from a catapult. Trebuchets usually use momentum to hurl a projectile, whereas Catapults typically fire their projectiles by building up elastic potential.

@@alecgarza7987 it’s a massive difference between the two siege machine. A trebuchet would be used for destroying walls where a catapult can be used to destroy walls that are weak they are used as a modern day mortar. A trebuchet would be like the modern equivalent of an a10 warthog doing a depleted uranium brrrrrttttttt run and basically anything that was there isn’t anymore

This game is beautiful. I got 2 alpha boxes sitting sealed in my safe and opened my first beta on christmas, my 2nd pack ever had the philosopher's stone! So now I'm gonna have to get at least 2 more lol

Sorcery is looking good, I don’t know if I’d call it the new magic, but might think about trying it

looks quite cool! can't look at it without my MtG 'goggles' on though, the full art on the back really reminds me of the unstable tokens. Pretty cool art though, wonder how the gameplay is!

I think a trebuchet has a sling and a counterweight and a catapult has a fixed position. Might not be right but I think that is how it is

Don't know anything about this game but I like the art cleaner then og magic but does give a darker more adult feel. Def high fantasy vibes

Yeah, I entered the tcgplayer raffle. I don't know how to play it yet.

My gf and I have been playing for a few months now. She is NoT a TCG player historically but is now hooked.

All foils have all the value except super unique cards also have some nice value. I only collect.

Don't know anything about this one but the art is sweet.

its easy, but also a securty feature. they put a alpha or beta symbol on the front of the box underthe logo.

Its super fun and unique. Def mtg meets chess.

Unlike Magic, the foils in Sorcery do not curl. That is a bonus.

This is also expensive. The Facebook community group is full of pretty pretentious, elitist guys who are all just asking each other "How are my pulls?" "What do you think this is worth?". I backed kickstarter, the obnoxious people who were attracted to this chased me away. Seriously cringey calling this game legendary, iconic and historic without it earning anything.

It's all fomo right now. If you're okay with a $140 box of cardboard gathering dust after ten minutes of gambling on opening packs, then go for it. If you want to play, get the starter decks. Most Sorcery fans are just gambling addicts hoping for a big hit to show off to strangers online so they feel important.

there is no box topper with beta, that was specifically for alpha for meeting kickstarter goals and having shipping delays. going forward there will only ever be 36 packs.

The Boxes do have toppers, they're just not the same as Alpha - Beta boxes come with a Sorcerer and 3 Rubble

There is 100% a topper in beta, but every once in a while this happens with all tcg’s. Happened to me with double masters og 😢
