    Very clear, with simple top down sections to show what is being explained. Cannot ask for more really.

    Thanks for the how to and FAQ videos. I have a question about stealth. rules state a unit cannot defend against stealth, but stealth states it loses stealth when it attacks. So does the unit strike back against the steathed unit?

  • @wizardsden666

    @wizardsden666

    6 ай бұрын

    Good question! Yes, the minion that is being attacked will still strike back. It's just that you can't defend the attacked minion when its being attacked from a minion with stealth. The stealth will be lost after the attack resolves.

    I really wish this game wasn't such a chore to understand. Your video does a great job of breaking it down but wow this game is so unnecessarily complicated.

    Some of the rules are abtuse AF, and I'm only playing the pre-cons. My friend that is an avid mtg player says he will never play with me again because he didn't understand how some spell cards can be cast and affect any site, but some spell cards need to be cast and travel from a spell caster. Like how lightning bolt you can cast and hit any site but minor explosion you had to hit a certain distance from a spell caster. He was very angry. He also said it was bull crap that you have to chase down and deal the death blow. Was "prolonging the game and made it take for ever" I'm sad because I didn't do a good enough job teaching and learning the game before hand. I wanted us to learn the game together. But now I have no one to play with since the rules are so obtuse. 🥺

    @@1423big yeah I’ve played magic for 15ish years and my buddy has played for like 10 and we struggled to understand a lot of it. We can pick up most other games super quick and this one was bleh which is sad because it seems so cool!

    I understand both of your perspectives. I know that without being around teaching the way through this game, it is hard for people to stick around to start looking through the complexity and true depth of the game. I make these video to ease the gap as much as I could.

    Great video. Two question here: a. can I conjure an Artifact to my minion when it's in the Void/Submerged/Burrowed? b. when me and my opponent go to Death's Door on my turn, am I immune to damage until my next turn?

    I am playing a bit on TTS since theres no cards to buy anywhere in europe (aside from those with horrendous markup), this is really helpful. I've been playing magic since 1996 and this game looks quite interesting and matches the 90s vibe i am looking for. Hopefully they will be available here soon too. How Is card availability in JPN? Can you even get the game right now?

    Thanks for watching! Japan had zero initial cards at release; there are some products now but these are stuff that are resold after buying overseas at MSRP. But you can still get it. We understand that this is a US centric game and it comes at a higher price tag, just like it was when MTG was first imported to Japan.

    The play mat is not required, but a play field is. You can use painter's tape or washi tape to make a grid. It is helpful to have the grid playmate, though. Less setup, at least.

    If Sorcery is successful enough (and i hope it is!) I have a feeling a simplified or at least less expansive version of the game is going to be developed by the community. Sorcery might be as difficult to learn as Yugioh, and that's saying something!
