Those right people at Disney have said in the past that they were all for Sora getting into Smash. I'm sure there was a lot of coordination required, but as Sakurai said... everybody involved was into it.

Ooohhhh it’s the name of the song, in the reactions I kept seeing people in chat putting “simple and clean” and I thought they were saying the reveal was simple and clean 😂

So growing up with just me and my older brother before he passed, he always let me play video games and watch anime with him. 3 games that he loved to play were DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Smash, and Kingdom Hearts. He was really passionate about KH for as long as I can remember, and I would sit there amd watch him play for hours on the ps2 (at least a think it was ps2, it coulda been ps3, I was little so I can't fully remember) and he even had a Sora hoodie that he only wore while playing, it had Donald and Goofy on it too. So when I saw the keyblade come on screen, all of the past memories with him just flooded me all at once and I broke down in tears. Congratulations Sora, and thank you Mr. Sakurai.

I saw it and was like 90% sure, then the keychain and the signature sparkling sounds from Kingdom Hearts. Anyone who knows IMMEDIATELY knew. Just like the fans of Final Fantasy can notice the "One-Winged Angel" theme in just two notes XD

For me, personally, I have to see the Keychain to realize it. When I watched other's reaction on it is when I started to see the fire resembling the Keyblade. 🤣 Goodnees gracious, I've been rusting at recognizing my favorites. 😅

This was my favourite reaction so far. No overreating and loud shouting, just tears of joy. As a person who doesnt play a lot of games outside the Nintendo IPs i enjoyed the most DLC characters not because i had a connection to them or really wanted them, i enjoyed them because i knew all of them are someones most wanted character and i can watch reactions like this, where i also might shed a tear.

Don't apologize for crying. I cried too. It had some to do with the final character being Sora, but it had a LOT to do with it being the final Smash character reveal/direct/presentation. It was, indeed, bittersweet.

This is exactly how I reacted to seeing Banjo and Kazooie again (and I damn near got teary eyed again just hearing that Simple and Clean instrumental). I know not everyone had an emotional character moment like this in Ultimate, but I'm always really happy to see when people do. Congrats, my guy.

I keep going back to this trailer and I can't help but shed a tear everytime I watch it. Sora's inclusion in smash couldn't of been any more perfect as a sendoff to the game. Trust me those who have waited for this since a decade ago understand those tears. Great moment. This is one of my favorite moments in gaming period.

I'm so hyped as a fan of both series, but honestly, I'm most emotional over how powerful and magical this moment has been. We ended on a BIG ONE. The music really gets you to break down and cry, take the moment in that this is the end of new character support for Ultimate, and it's a beautiful end.

Sora is the most precious and cutest honest and brave hearted video character ever made. I love my boi 😭💖💖💖💖 and I don't even play or care much about smash but now I consider playing the game (I bought it on release xD) but I won't play online just for fun.

I've read how this character was the one that had the hurdles to go over in order to include him in this roster. Talk about a great and large cast of characters from so many different properties. Really one for the ages.

Seeing your joy makes me cry of joy I don’t know why

I feel that Sora's inclusion hit our generation the hardest due to us growing up with him, projecting ourselves on to him and the fact he's just such a generally likeable character. He was born from two franchises we grew up with (Final Fantasy and Disney) which turned out to be the perfect storm. In our minds, he could canonically pass in to other worlds such as Nintendo worlds and now that is practically canon. It's just a dream to see him shake hands with Mario like that too. Our dream character finally came home.

The final trailer is just the perfect ending for smash bros, you almost made me cry too haha, and there's nothing wrong with crying of happiness, it's actually something to be happy for, dont let anyone take that joy out of you.
