I thought I'd seen every episode, blooper, deleted scene, commercial etc for the Sopranos. I mean I'm a voracious fan. Then suddenly FOUR hours (part 1 and 2) of stuff I've never seen drops in my lap. God bless KZread content creators

48:28 When Drea De Matteo is talking about her boyfriend bringing her dogs to set, that was filmed at Panera Bread in West Caldwell NJ. I remember passing by as they were filming. That was the scene when she was talking to the FBI agent in a restaurant. I was in the parking lot watching them film. The actors were inside the restaurant and you tell how many times they would reshoot the scene, cause the same car in the parking that passed the window next to them would back up and drive forward again. I live 10 minutes from the Soprano house, it is on Aspen Drive in North Caldwell. Also here is some crazy trivia. The Soprano house is located across the street from a house the was blown up by The Unabomber sadly killing the homeowner named Thomas Mosser.

Oh wow, this video is 24 CARAT GOLD Sopranos. I’ve loved The Sopranos ever since I watched the first episode. I love seeing behind-the-scenes videos on all my favourite shows, but The Sopranos I’m obsessed about. Wonderful to see so much detail about how a scene is shot, for 2 minutes screen time. One of, if not THE all-time, greatest tv show. Legendary. Rest in peace, James Gandolfini. 💙
Drea de Mateo without that accent is just…. So crazy. What a great actress.
Weird how this video has 80's production value for a show that premiered in the late 90's 😂

Especially that the video was likely filmed in the late 2000s after the show ended based on how they show BTS footage from all the seasons.

80s type production lasted well into the 2000’s. Especially for infomercials etc. it wasn’t until the 2010’s that it went on the endangered species list

@@aunch3 That's interesting imo. I always wondered about that.
Love watching this. So odd and funny that it was made after the series ended because the production value -- from the music, to the editing and videography -- is straight out of mid-late 90s. Interesting looking back how the old digital camcorder footage from the 00s looks as dated as vhs footage from the 80s and 90s.

Yeah. The man that made this documentary, it was his life’s work. He loved the Sopranos. He lived his entire life in Jersey. He really did start it in the 90s and was such a perfectionist about it took him over a decade to finally call it done. By the time he released it with us it was pretty dated. Still great old footage tho. Thank you for your comment ☺️

I took the Sopranos tour in 2003 or 2004 (forget). It was great! Saw some great landmarks and had a chance to meet Joseph Gannascoli (Vito). He was really nice. Jackie Jr. was "offed" the season prior, which really upset my girlfriend. She asked Joseph why they killed him off and didn't continue his role on the series. Seemed like an obvious answer to me. He replied as expected, just saying, "He was a bad seed." Without going into details, he clued us in on some general things we'd see in the upcoming season. He told us that, while the actors often didn't know exactly what was going to happen, they can get an idea based on the scenes that were planned to shoot. He said they were shooting in a cemetery, so someone is gonna die. Ha! Not surprising with that show. 😄The question was (at the time), WHO was gonna die? I have lots of video of that tour someplace. Was so cool to see the Bing. It felt like a mob place while there, which may have been a planned part of "the experience." We all received an intimidating threat that, if we take any pictures, our camera will be taken away. Inside, they had a little closet where they sold merch with a fellow in there that looked like a mob guy taking cash only for shirts and whatever they were selling. A really cool experience!
