This individual has almost given up on mankind. Beautiful music and amazing artful expression. Much love to Anna and may more music and emotion flow from your fingertips

The remarks towards Anna’s looks were condescending, rude, and frankly kind of disgusting. I won’t be watching any more.

A strange thing to say is my favorite

I've been a music enthousiast for decades; have a growing collection of 1,5k+ cds/vinyls. When it comes to dark, underground music, name a band and I probably heard it. Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite artist. Kudos for the open-minded listen and keep up the good work with the channel.

Another great song with a really cool music video which looked like a 1920s horror movie :) I liked that! I didn't think much about the lyrics because the video drew me in and that voice was quite unique and really soothing...sounded like a lullaby to me. I think you handled the different songs from Vermin's list really well. Especially that monster from Boris is probably even hard to get into for people who are already familiar with (and like) that kind of music. It's like you said: Some songs need a bit more time to get into. But music also conveys an immediate feeling which doesn't need to be analysed or understood (although I find it always interesting to do that afterwards). I have the deepest gratitude for you for looking at stuff like this, giving it a chance and putting it out there. I hope more and more people will find your channel! Btw I had to change my list a bit...it seems that it becomes close to impossible to use Buck-Tick videos...they even started to take single live videos down. I really want to recommend them though... Maybe you could do muted reactions or a section in which you just talk about songs you've heard which get blocked? Thanks again man and have a great start into the new week!

The instrument in the beginning is a harpsichord. You're review was out of line and very juvenile.

@@linalea7022 I struggled through most of it as I couldn't really complete it after "if that's not a costume", the misgendering (I think) which was a shame as the guy does seem to get slightly into the video more albeit by then I just thought what a waste. A seemingly alternative person weighing in like that was crass

I found his music last week. I listen to Visual Kei which also touches on the same topics as Sopor Aeternus' music, depression, unfulfilled love, mental instability, etc. I was bound to bump into his music sooner or later. His appearance may creep you out at first and that feeling may stay, but you know, once you hear his lyrics and look at his facial expressions it turns into compassion. He portrays a suffering being in need in my eyes. I cannot help feeling endearing compassion. Never an artist made me feel like this before. React to his song In Der Palästra. Anna-Varney is a transgender woman... so better stop calling her "dude" and things like that, and I don't know why you talk about her "look" or image in such a rude way, is not just because I'm a fan of her, you just don't go talking about someone's physic like that, be more respectful, I'm sure you wouldn't like people saying stuff about you and your body or style. I watched half video and honestly I don't even feel like finishing it, if your way of exploring new music and artist is just being disrespectful I'm not interested.

Anna is not a trans. Anna believes in how Mayans described society. In Mayan culture you had man, man-woman, woman-man and woman. in the middle you could find 'the fifth gender'. not man nor woman. this gender was only for angels, the other four where for humans. Anna considers herself a member of the fifth gender.
