Me too. I was obsessed. I was very young when I watched this contest. Eurovision opened my eyes to other cultures. This song was just so magical and unlike anything I had heard or saw before.

It's 2024 and it's so easy to image this song again on the stage. What a timeless piece!

This song was so ahead of its time. Nowadays it would be in the top 5, if not win. But then again, 2007 was an insanely stacked year.

Gabriela Piechowicz yes, maybe not ever, but worst of Georgia. Worst song ever is "Euro neuro". He sounds like an old fart and like he has serious constipation. And worst winner ever is Lena. No music and no voice. Real winner of 2010 is Denmark because it mixes "Simply the best" and a song everyone uses samples of and has the most covers (which is "Every breath you take"). 2nd place is Albania and 3rd is Manga. These are true 3 places. Maybe there was something in the past. For sure true winner of 1968 is "Congratulations" (should have won then because of songs title), biggest crime ever. And i still cry over Greece 2001 (which is a true winner of that year. Or maybe third after France and Slovenia) and "Lane moje" (could also be Toshe Peace Be Upon Him, Belgium or Croatia). And 2015. Its only and real winner is "Grande amore". I love Mans and consider him handsome and cute but he should have given his victory to Italy. 2012 could be Estonia or Russia (which is our "Slavic girls" 50 years later).

This was my introduction to Georgia as a teen. Who would’ve known 9 years later I was going to be backpacking across this beautiful country.

I even hear some Nine Inch Nails' "Perfect Drug" vibes... and then you have the the traditional Georgian percussion, and the Whitney Houston level vocals. Definitely one of my all time favorite Eurovision songs.

I'll never forget this hidden gem.

An extraordinary debut. Traditional, gripping and gloriously catchy. One of the best songs of 2007, and certainly my favorite!

2022 and this is still one of the most stunning, hypnotic, psychedelic experiences of my life.

Georgian were doing their own things since their first appearance.

Agreed. Most pop songs are almost always about love and peace, but Georgia breaks that mold and seldom sends in songs of that genre. They should become a role model for countries that often sends generic pop songs to Eurovision.

It’s the best ever Eurovision song in my opinion. Why it didn’t do better is unfathomable. Brilliant gutsy performance and a total banger of a tune. It’s a song we still regularly go back to listen to, despite only seeming to be available on KZread. I wish it was released on single/available to stream.

My Top 3 Caucasian debuts 3. 🇦🇲Armenia (my 28/37 in 2006) That's generic for me 2. 🇦🇿Azerbaijan (my 10/43 in 2008) Mugham and opera combination, very epic! *1. 🇬🇪Georgia (my 5/42 in 2007)* That's shows the culture of this nation, the sword dance is the best part of this!

Probably the best debut entry ever, wish that Georgia could get back up to this quality in the 2020s. I still appreciate that they send something unique, but it'd be nice for them to send something like this again! On the whole though, Georgia is a beautiful country and I'd really like to visit there one day! And hoping they'll finally qualify again because (as of November 2022 when I write this), they haven't qualified since 2016. Love Georgia from the UK 🇬🇪🇬🇧!
