That's a good hack for the Prada. I do think the Givenchy looks much nicer. Sophie mentioned there was only around a 200 pound difference in the UK so if I was there, I would def choose the Givenchy. So in that sense, I don't think Sophie got it wrong.

I love this little bag. Easily packed inside a suitcase to have a change of bag on your vacation! I agree with you 100% and not because we are best friends! Lol 🤣🤣

Thanks for sharing these hacks! This is on my wishlist for sure. I think I'll probably just send it to Rago Brothers for them to add another d-ring attachment to the opposite side. However, these modifications would work great in the meantime!

Nice description of how you made this into a functional bag for yourself. Neither the Prada nor the Givenchy bags appeal to me … I can’t spend that kind of money on nylon bags. I consider both to be considerably over priced for what they are.

They certainly are. This bag is already overpriced, she's right about that, but that means the Givenchy one she showed (at nearly twice the price) is way over what it should be. Doesn't matter if it comes with a strap when it's so easy and less expensive to add one to this bag.

Hi Autumn! I hope you have a great 2022 :) I really like the options you've shown with the Prada Pouch, they completely transform it and make the bag very user-friendly and versatile. Regarding Sophie Shohet, she has been recommending this bag consistently for two years, maybe a little more, as well as using and loving it. Price aside, it seems natural that, when finding a similar one that she perhaps now prefers, maybe even aesthetically, she would recommend it. My point is that I would find it totally understandable if, in two years, you as well would do something similar, after finding an option that might tick not necessarily more, but different boxes for your taste. On the other hand, I think Sophie's recommendation should be contextualized regarding the value of the bags in English pounds, as well as your fair objection within their much higher value in American dollars, because the discrepancy is very significant, as you've pointed out, and would totally invalidate the price range aimed for by her suggestions. I hope this makes sense... I'm sorry for leaving you such a long comment. All the best xoxo

Right. Nothing wrong with either bag but when making a video that is specifically talking about low priced bags, to recommend an almost identical bag at nearly twice the price didn't make sense to me. They're both great bags, though.

The bag is okay. Love that you gave us options on how to wear it. I’m not really into bucket purses maybe that’s why I am not into this purse! I want to see Vincent more. She is so cute!

I have this bag as well, purchased from either Nordstroms or Neimans a couple of years ago and love to use it as a weekend bag.

I thought of you too when I saw her review, I love that Prada bag, but then Sophie is very brand specific for all her reviews.

Soooo if you don’t know, zoomani makes custom inserts for bags and if you have the dimensions you want it to be they can make it! They made me an organizer for my damier pochette trousse as no one else had one 😊

I love it with the Gucci strap. The black leather tabs on the strap tie in with the bag.

I like Sophie too! She really is fabulous! It is a great little bag. Thank you for the video!

This is terrible, but I have this bag and can’t find it. But, it’s not the exact same bag. I bought mine at Woodbury Commons in 2002. I paid $75 for it, I kid you not. My version doesn’t have a wrist strap or any strap except the drawstring. I carried it as a clutch a few times and also used it as a toiletry bag when traveling. Believe me, I’m not so rich or so disorganized that I could lose something like a Prada bag (but I did once find a Chanel bag that I had stored away), but there have been several changes in my house, redoing rooms and organizing things, and I think it’s packed away somewhere. Now I want it! Back then, no one sold these extras to convert bags. I am thinking about getting one in a color and hope I can find my bag. By the way, one of my friends dyed her old Prada nylon bag that she bought in the early 2000’s because it was starting to fade. It looks brand new now. It shows that these bags are well made with quality materials.

Prada should take a lesson from you. The extra fittings and straps wouldn’t hurt the Prada bottom line that much. After all it’s a $500 nylon bag.

I think it's a good price relative to other items and prices from Prada. Relative to other things outside Prada...that's a different question. I do think it's much more worth the price than the nearly identical Givenchy bag that costs almost double. There are bags from other luxury brands in that price range that I'd much rather have, for sure. It's all relative, of course! ;)

Thanks for sharing your take on the Prada wristlet turned bag. I am sorry to both you and Sophie but I won't be buying this or the Givenchy. Both price points are just too much for a nylon bag for me. Kate Spade or Tory Burch or Coach probably have mini bucket bags at a fraction of the price. But, of course, if you don't want a contemporary brand and really want something from a luxury brand then you should go for the Prada, I guess. Still not for me, though. 🙂

I agree with Sophie, this is not worth it at all, but I disagree with her that the Givenchy one is better, I think they are both crazy expensive for what they are haha, you can get a full leather bag at the Gucci outlet for less than the Givenchy one and just a little over the Prada pouch (I know is outlet exclusive bags but is still made in Italy, full leather and really beautifully made), I would recommend a microguccissima mini dome bag or a small bree tote instead for that price, I own both and they are so beautiful and well made. But of course all luxury handbags are crazy expensive, nylon, leather or canvas haha so is more about personal taste than real value

Excellent point. I saw a similar nylon bag at the Versace outlet. It included a crossbody strap but it was about the same price. As Prada and Givenchy prices go, these are a good value but it's all relative for sure.
