Hi, I'm watching this because the back panel broke in a car accident (but not the screen or any other part) and otherwise worked for over a month, but then because the back was cracked it eventually got water damage. (screen turned off, then would vibrate when touching power button) In the case of water damage, is the motherboard the part that will need replacing? and if so, where can I buy that part? Doesn't seem available anywhere. Also, where is the internal data for the phone stored? Is it integrated with the motherboard with no hope of recovery if the motherboard needs replacement?

does it remain water proof ?

I had taken apart mine many times and it is still waterproof. You can test it with the pressure sensor.

That is worst repair phione EVER, only glue and more glue!

all that diddly-doo just to remove the handsfree component, ffs Sony...

Yeah, I wanted to replace my headphone jack but I have to first remove every single component, WTF SONY?!!!
