Very interrsting. And after that everybody tells that snapdragon 810 is hot. Under mother board Sony has inserted heatpipe, but on it was installed kapton tape, which reduce heat dissipation to almost zero. There I would believe we need to put non conducting thermal paste. Somehow your phone do not have emi shield on the processor, it was left open.

No, it will not be water resistant after repaired, if you wanna take it to swimming pool, a water case would be recommended.

i recently replaced the front screen and digitizer on my z3+ with care and using the right tools however now the screen will not come on. the LED lights up when charging and the phone vibrates when i switch on, plus if i leave it for a time i get the notification led light up but still no picture. Do you have any ideads what it could be?

+Chris Phillips Please make sure that you connect lcd connect well, if it is good, then there must something wrong with your lcd screen.

Hi, the glass of my z3+ is broken and digitizer is not working any more. But LCD seems to be working fine. Is not clear to me if I should buy only the digitizer or the complete assembly digitizer + LCD . In case of a change of the digitizer only, the procedure to change is the same as shown in your video? Any advantage on changing both? thanks.

+pipin700509 Replace only the digitizer is a very hard job since the lcd screen,since the lcd screen, digitizer and front glass are already attached tightly,which needs professional repair skills,if you want to repair it on your own, you'd better change the complete LCD screen with digitizer. you can get some repair guide from this video.

and why it doesnt have metal shields on the mother board? unlike on z2 and z3. i also watched another tear down of this. and his z3 plus motherboard has a metal shield. why is that?

BEAWARE. If you are only replacing your screen DO NOT follow this video, you will break your phone, for sure. Follow a video that doesnt take appart the ribbons going to the main board.

So, in order to remove the screen, I would have to remove every little parts of the phone? DANG!!!

Any idea what is wrong with my xperia Z3 plus? i dropped it and the screen was totaled, phone was still on until i switched it off. i ordered new lcd and digitizer and installed em. Now when i try to start the phone it won't start, no light or anything is seen even when i put it on charger. only thing that heats in the phone is the chip that is connected to phones vibrator motor + motor heats too. they both are very hot to touch and start doing that as soon as i connect the battery. i'm quite baffled.

yeah, this is more of a teardown than a screen replacement guide because I didn't need to remove all those to replace the screen. It's all unnecessary work.
