Yes that is good, just wishes that they had better cameras like 1 inch sensor and way better zoom. The night video show that it really have problems with reflexions and underpreform. If the camera system was better i would be interested, but the phone isn´t good enough to buy for a Samsung S22 Ultra user. So waiting 1 more year to see if something is worth to upgrade to.

'NOT coming to the US Market'... Do Sony... NOT want to sell some of the best phones out there? Are they actually right in the head? 🤔 I mean... Things like:- - Announcing a 'Brand new' phone model, but NOT making available to buy for up to 6 months later... - Having some EXCELLENT hardware, but providing DISMAL OS/Security update life... - Said excellent hardware having FAR TOO COMPLICATED multiple camera app systems... - SERIOUSLY HEFTY price tags... And more issues besides... Sony phones COULD rise to become some of the most popular phones 'Out in the field' to rival the likes of Apple and Samsungs' offerings... IF ONLY they corrected the above issues (and a couple of others), and they COULD do it as they have what? 3 phone models (not like Samsung with their extensive A and S range phones)... Let us buy the phones SOON after announcing them, DROP the price to UNDER the 'Equivalent' Samsung, give them AT LEAST 4 years OS and a further 1 year Security update system, then, yeah, I'm pretty sure, they'll sell A LOT MORE of these phones so MORE people can enjoy such things as the great screens and FRONT FIRING PROPER STEREO loud speakers that DO make a difference in viewing content (I remember the days of my Motorola Google Nexus 6! While it's true that removing the 4k screen feels like a downgrade if you're coming from the V like me, I wasn't happy the V had a 4k screen in the first place. As expected the battery drain is quite high and to be honest in 90% of the cases i can't even see a difference between 4k and 1080p on this screen. So going down to 2k is a no-brainer

I own the 1 mark V. I haven't seen the mark VI. But using 1 mark V daily for 6 months +, I can say you'll get satisfaction using that phone. It's capable of taking amazing pictures which requires your skills, not AI trickery, can take some decent auto shots but those may not be best in class though I don't find huge differences, has really fantastic speakers and great audio via the 3.5 and BT and a very stable and strong network. I'm using it reasonably with multiple push mails, calls and lots of video watching, music and photos (amateur hobby). The battery scrapes me through the day (7+ SOT). Though I do charge it for 10-15 minutes in the evening and then to 90% overnight. I normally don't post reviews, comments etc. but do read them. A ton of people criticise this brand's. But I find most of them a bit cooked and incorrect. Hence thought of putting my views in. Sure there are other brands which makes good phones, provide longer updates etc. It is your money that you'll spend. Don't ignore something just because a bunch of non users post their imaginary thoughts.

On my 3rd Xperia, a 1 IV. I will miss the 21:9 form factor, it's such a lovely phone to hold while still having the same height as larger phones for scrolling uses. I will also miss the Alpha-style UI for the pro mode, it's something I've really grown to love on my 1II and 1IV. But if these relatively minor sacrifices must be made for Sony to continue to justify the Xperia line then I will take them, even with those losses, there's still enough to keep it unique and oh so Sony.

I agee and im still on my 5ii. They should have giving that nice 48mp double stacked lens to the 10 vi too and a normal selfie. And then with the 5 vi they should have giving a normal 80mm zoom lens again. Then it would make sense to me. The 10 vi misses the boat too in my opinion. Cant use 8mp cameras anymore these days. For the 1vi it might make sense that they use a different aspects ratio cause of the zoom machenism that maybe needs more space in the phone itself. But lets see. Im really curious of the 5 vi. I do want to save money to buy a 5 series again. Nonetheless that are still improving and now even give the 3 year os updates gives me a sense of "okay we are here to stay for a longer while" feeling. So that might be good.

With its 6" Quad HD display and front firing stereo speaker set up... I miss those days.. What do we have now? 1080p resolution with 396 ppi, 120hz pwm, the same cameras as last year, and 3 years of os updates and slow af charging speeds for £1299. DOA Sony digging their own grave

RIP Sony. 1080p in 2024 is midrange, you cannot ask for that much money without at least 1440p

Man I was aiming for the V line, but the wider screen is a must for me tbh. I need to do some digging into their "premium circuitry" it's no Quad DAC like the LG's had back in the day no doubt, but I am still an old-school 3.5mm jack user.
