I’m still using my Panasonic 60” plasma lol. I’ll upgrade at some point but I want a tv that’ll last more than 10 years. Everyone I know with LG, Hisense, Samsung TCL etc have been through several tvs due to faults.

I currently have a 65" 4k LED, purchased in 2017. I was looking into OLEDs but was steered away from them due to the fact that I have a bright family room with lots of natural light. Instead I was directed towards this tv here.. After doing some reading and watching some reviews, I don't doubt that it's a solid TV, but for the price point and costing just as much as the OLED's, I am having a hard time justifying getting this..

They SHOW their Luxry TV like how BMW X7 will show up at SHOW room. Most buy BMW X3. Cuz ONCE u go HIGH END phone 📱 screen u cant go back. SONY will Make sure their high end TV Over priced. So ppl buy can have Braging rights. N they will UP SELL the low/entry much discounted, to make ppl believe they are CLOSE to flagship. In 3 yrs ppl will be tempted to UP GRADE Lured by --NEW FLAGSHIP. They end up buying new Entry or New Mid range. Rinse n repeat. They do NOT want ppl to buy X93L or X95L. 😊 U know SONY never invented/produced BEST LED tvs right? 😊 SHARP -Aquos. Produced 100% 💯 of SONY’s entry and BRAVIA high end Flagship LEDs…back in the day. Thats how they PUT SONY on the premium LED Map. 🗺️ SONY MASS order whole sale middle man 🧍‍♂️ bought 100% LED from SHARP n put SONY Box n Logo on it. So if u hear ppl :” I HAVE 12 yr 13 yr old LED in my basement . 3D made in Japan. 🇯🇵 cost me $5000” --THATS a NONE SONY SONY. Its a SHARP TV. If u see ANYONE had --ELEGANT Glass FLAT lay Tv STAND, n 1 metal crhome /black barrel stem in d middle to support the whole tv. (Samsung, LG, SONY) --THATs SHARP AQUOS Tv . 100% 💯 SONY’s $4000-10000 3D tv never touched SONY manufactory. Cuz they did NOT have 1 . They ONLY produced LCd, NOT LED. They bought Someone else’s product n put their logo on it. Hisense Bought Sharp in 2015 back then. Hisense Visual will be WAY more close to Original SONY premium LED. I like the x layer that adds to the width. Seems like a cool idea. I'd like to see more 2.1 ports though Also that price is insane for a non oled

The biggest problem for this tv is it’s a 2023 model. 2024’s from competitors will start hitting stores next month that meet or exceed this at better prices.

I wonder what is the brightest 4k mini led tv for 2024 that is available for north america. I'm looking for the brightest 4k mini led tv since I always max out the back light and I always max out the brightness. I don't want oled because I will intentionally cause burn in on the oled displays on purpose. With every oled display that I use already have burn in issues. I'm looking for 1,000 nits minimum for sdr and nothing lower than 1,000 nits for sdr and around 2,000 nits minimum for hdr and maybe around 3,000 nits with hdr if possible. I really want the tcl 5,000 nits 4k mini led tv or the hisense 10,000 nits 4k mini led tv that was shown at ces since they are the brightest mini led 4k tvs of 2024 but they won't be available for the north american markets. There are movies that are mastered with 4,000 nits and I want to be able to experience the full 4,000 nits with hdr with my 4k blu ray player.

Do the UX 2023 model. That one has EXTREMELY high contrast ratio n , and color volume. It has 400000:1 contrast ratio. The U8K is 165000:1 , Qm8 is 110000:1. I assume the 2024 model wont be too far from 2023. N UX 2023 has the Highest COLOR volume. Most objects are not made by color against black. Its usually the SAME color transition from lighter highilght to deeper tone. The MORE dense of color , the MORE 3D it looks like. N more crisp of image. UX 85” has 4000 nits already . I thought.

you need to fix the "better than" lines. Its one of the best Input lag tv's but its "better than 2% of TV's"??? That means it only beats the worst TV's. Should be better than 98%. Was super confused by those graphics and text.

That native contrast is very dissapointing for a 2024 mid high end tv. Barely beating ips monitors that have 1200:1.

With Sony’s image processing… it’s not a casual targeted tv. Especially given the price. This is cinephile who can’t justify the a95l or x95l.

This TV is in a weird spot. Most avid TV buyers will purchase an OLED instead of this. OLED's are bright enough now to justify OLED in a bright room. This Mini LED market is full of competition. TCL, Hisense have caught up enough. Samsung also has a great TV in this mini led lineup. I have a hard time justifying the price of this Sony TV. This is not a very good gaming Tv with DV at 60hz

I have a lower end model of the tv and I can defenitly tell you Sony is by far the best tv brand for gaming it’s 120hz and mini led looks way better than older and second tcp and Hisense is mid I have had a expensive Samsung tv there okay but still pretty bad

I would love a QD OLED, but burn-in scares the hell out of me. LG seems to be the safer bet for OLED TVs with their 5 year panel warranty.

Sony keeps dropping the ball. I would not recommend this TV and instead recommend the Hisense U8K which is half the price and has superior picture quality.

Get rid of the annoying background noise. Can’t listen so I’m turning it off

⚜️⚜️Decent, but over priced.😅x93L looks identical to Samsung QN90B(both 70000:1 contrast). NO joke, d Dynamic/Native contrast, blooming level everything Match. I will take Hisense ❤U8H U8K(both 165000:1 contrast❤), TCL Qm8 , Samsung QN95A QN95B over this thing any day.

Image processing is way better on the Sony though. That’s what Sony leans on. They are pricey but they have the best isp pipeline by far. Those other tvs are good but if someone wants the best image processing it’s the option. Not saying it’s worth it or not, that’s up to each person but this thing looks way better than the Samsung set imo

I thought that too, but then I got an X93L and it completely blew me away. Lower content upscaling is honestly incredible and motion looks the smoothest on any TV I've seen. Yes, the Sony costs more, but if you want the best, you gotta pay to play.

Sony’s image processing is miles ahead of all of those brands. Esp tcl and Hisense. Spec sheet isn’t as impressive and it is pricey but if you want a super accurate TV that upscales well, handles motion well etc. no one comes close to Sony. Even on standard led backlit lcds Sony does such a great job that outside of contrast it’s incredible.

numbers based reviews don't tell the whole story. It really isn't like it is with cars where 0-60, hp and torque tells you all you need to know about how fast they are. I love me some LG and got a 55 g2 in my living room but i've witnessed both a qned and a sony mini led. The sony always wins even though it might have less zones, just because the local dimming algorithm is so good. If the algos efficiencies were quantifiable by a metric, then sony would score a lot higher than their competitors. Also, they have the best DV implementations i've seen on minileds or full array local dimming tvs for that matter and that makes a huge difference in recovering lost detail, minimizing blooming and enhancing color purity when watching an at least decently made grade.

It truly amazes me how these Sony fanboys lean on this low bitrate processing theme. It really is a narrative. I have an A80J and yes it is a good TV but there are much better TVs that process the same damage way that are better than this $2800 overpriced TV. Where are all these people watching 480i content anyways?
