I have a question..I got these sonys and if I remove the ear tip you know how there is usually a little screen or something there to protect them from dust or whatever that is for... well I'm pretty sure that I can see the internals when I look down into the stem.. it doesn't look like there is any screen or metal there. To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzread.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Finally someone who looked at theses. Everyone seems to only care about the highest end buds. Glad you're covering theses! Great job

unpopular opinion: I like the naming schemes, it condenses what the product is for/features, tho I see how its not really friendly to people who don't know the naming patterns

I really do love that you also review some of the more expensive headphones. I buy one pair every two years or so, so I like to pay up if I get the sound for it. Keep it up! Your channel is just amazing source of information and my go to reference point. If you say that the sound is good, I feel like I can take it to the banc.

Preordered a set of these from Amazon earlier in the week. Supposed to ship out on Sunday, and I'm looking forward to getting them as I've been thinking about picking up a pair of true wireless buds to use when I'm working on my car, or outside working around the house.

Was waiting for this review, I will definitely be going for the blue ones. Also since the volume controls came with a software update for the 1000XM3's and these are pretty much the same, hopefully Sony will find a way to make you have all the controls available. I already have thought of a way they could do it but we would need to know if it's possible.

@@trickster8318 Two options: 1.- having new standard controls where it's essentially the same in that the right earbud has your playback controls but holding the right earbud instead of calling the assistant does quick attention and the left earbud adding two taps for volume up and holding the left one for lowering the volume while keeping one tap to cycle between the noise cancelling options. 2.- Just letting us customize the controls so that we can choose what one tap, two taps, etc can do for either bud.

This is a great review, I have purchased a few truly wireless buds over the last couple years and end up taking them back because the fit wasn't good or because the controls were bad. I work in a warehouse and can't wear two at a time, I also have headaches on the right side of my head and so my right ear (dominant) is very sensitive so I have to switch ears. Being able to adjust the touch controls is a must. You are one of the few who go over the controls in detail as well as one at a time usability. I think these may be what I pick up.

Hi @Gamesky , how are these ear buds compare with another Sony wf - xb700N, in terms of stability, comfort (for working out) and sound quality? I feel like the 700N are not really stable in ears but there is still $50-80 difference between them.

Got these a day back. You spoke my mind about expecting these to be more loud. Netflix experience with these is just superb. When it comes to music I want it to be loud . Was used to the loud and hard hitting bass of Sony xb70ap. Unable to come in terms with this one.

This is what the WF-XB700 should have been. I just got mine today! These still can't beat the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro in terms of sound (and bass) but they're almost there and definitely fun to listen to. They fit much better though, took them for a two hour run and my ears were nowhere as fatigued as they normally do with the Liberty 2 Pro. The ANC blocks out around 70-80% of the background noise which is good for this mid-range device. These will replace the Galaxy Buds Plus for my running workouts!

How would you compare them to Jabra Elite 75t ? Price difference is not my main concern, i am just looking for the best sound while running.

Great review again thanks. Is the DNC as they call it good enough mixed with the passive to allow for listening to podcasts and audiobooks in a noisy environment Gamesky? Apart from the Apple Pros which I have and love for work travel, all ANC/DNC earbuds are large though aren’t they? Not sure you can make a good ANC bud into a tiny Jabra/Galaxy shape. I have the mfmk3’s which I use when not working as the sound on the Pros is a little boring in my opinion.

Hello. I watch a lot of videos about wireless earbuds, but it's very hard to choose. Can you recommend the best earbuds for the price of 100-200eur? For me, sound quality is paramount, but of course other features are important, but sound is paramount.

@Gamesky Can you do a video comparing this with the wf-xb700? Having trouble deciding between the two. I am a bass head but I also appreciate customizable eq settings and features. Sound quality is the most important to me and bass!

Nice review as always thanks Gamesky, appreciate the effort. I have the WF-1000 XM3's and I also use AirPods Pros. I use a Apple Watch so I use this to control the volume on these buds (and on the Pro's), so I leave the left earbud in Ambience mode setting. It confuses the heck out of me though as Sony have enough gestures to easily combine vol and ambience into one control set. I have logged it as an enhancement request so I am expecting the change in the next firmware release, the lady I spoke to seemed very keen so shouldn't take long 😂😂😂😂😂

Can't you turn the volume up in the app? You can with the other buds; that are compatible with the app.

I got these for around 80 on target. And I was actually impressed with them.

Hey man, have you tested the Cambridge Audio Medlomania 1's yet? theyre supposed to have incredible sound too and the price is of course a lot loss but interested in a comparisson between the two sound stages.

Is this more comfortable than the Sony wf 1000xm3 in the ears.. I find the xm3 to be uncomfortable cos they go in too deep into the ear canals and exact some weight on the lower part and itch alot. Bottom line not really comfortable for my ears.. So u think this will be any better? I think the orange ones would pair well with my oh so orange pixel 4

Another great one!! These sounds great.. and it's not bad to have up to 13 hours battery in the buds.. and that they have good ANC and that they have great bass..

I didn’t even know these were out and I just picked up the Bose quiet comfort earbuds. How do these compare? The noise canceling is pretty amazing on the Bose, I just got rid of the AirPod pros and those aren’t even close. Bose beat them hands down on performance, the only thing apple had on Bose was possibly controls.

Can I cancel notifications completely? (even those for battery life?). Thank you.

Love your reviews, thanks for another great job! For me mics are of utmost importance, and IMHO the Galaxy Buds+ offer the best mics in noisy environments (and I have tested them all... Jabra, Sony, Libratone etc. extensively during travel in the most noisy environments) - how would you compare these, in the video they sound good, but how do they come out in comparison to the Buds+? How is the latency when watching videos/ playing games?

I totally see what you mean with wanting just a little more but I prefer a cap than a distorted sound.

I love the mid tone from B&O but do not like the extra bass of Sennheiser Is this one a good choice ??

How come the red light stays on when I turn them off & put them back in the case???

Do these have a fast-forward/rewind (song scrubbing, not next/previous track) feature? The WH-1000XM3's (over-ear headphones) have the swipe+hold feature where you can scrub forward/back through songs. Haven't seen any reviews mention this feature on the WF-SP800Ns.

The FIIL T1X are pretty good. It comes with an app and actually sound good as with my Jabra 75ts (although with a much different sound signature). You won't be disappointed for that price.
