Well, that's to the best of my knowledge - I have a lower end VCR model, the SLV-777HF, and it has no such feature. If that LED behind the JOG button is not lit, the wheel can also vary the speed of fast-forward/rewind scan-search and also activate slow forward and slow reverse. 8:37 😂😂😂😂😂

I thought sony used Control-s aka what as a kid I mistpk as called the "controls" feature not noticing it has or had when I had read the owners manual for said tv that there would be if noticed the dash between control and the s after it.. thus control s not controls.. .. as evidence by the KVZ32hV600 a hiscan set about 29 inches circa 2002 for capable but not totally 1080i res but capable neverthelspess of resolving a hd image via component or dvi.. but the manual along with mentiong prpnpimced "Vay-Gah" before they gave up trying to emphasize the correct way to prpnounce the w in wega as it is meant to be I knowcas an adult nowdays that as many others did..I thought the shadow of the v even when printed in color for the word wega except the black leter ie the shaodw of the blue v before it making it look like a w when it was read as they overlapped.. shadow of said v.. so yeah but itvsaus the control s feature allows for the user to control more than one peice of equipment for whatvit is where compatible on other peices of sony equipment...this may be convienient where you do not like to use more than one remote commander for all equipment whicj may be hidden or out of direct line of sight.. howevervas my father once when he explained it to me asa kid iirc thatvand or optimus branded equip,ent used "s link".. instead... so I guess a different but similar idea.. basically it was before remote com,ander aka infrared remotes had enougj memory or it was not come out with yet.. the idea of a programmable remote ie a universal one. Thus a mono? Headphone modern ie 3.5mm aka minijack double ended male connector would go to the in of one device from the out of another ie the tv to vcr and or cable box to vcr to turn it on upon a set recording or even merely adjust vol with the other devices remotes or to turn a reciever on for stereo or surround sound etc upon turning the tv "set?" On or off.. in the event under the entertainment center.. man I feel old saying all this for being a geeky nerd young adult but yet old enough to say "entertainment center" or cable box pfft even a vcr or vice versa would make kids confised nowdaus... lol but yeah if you wanted to aquire "higher sound qaulity via playing the tv sound througj your radio/sound sustem if you had one bacj in fhe day for better than built in tv speakers audio" although tbh nowdaus tv sets do have lower end speakers built in vs how seemingky iirc or if zi was merelyca oblivious child in the 00s or both.. then it feels very high end pure compared to the tin like osund of modern tvs vs the old school tvs with depth for more speaker room.

Oj if that now because i realize it does literally SAY catv or cable box control that is I am pretty sure a albeit oldER than merely by transferring the signal to turn on and begin... a scheduled recording at a while from now or for until later we wish it to turn off both vcr and cable box for a non had to be babysat while in real time it records.. then it would tell the vcr to turn on or rather older styling would be the vcr turning the cabke on... to begin recording and or/set to desired channel... however thsi is assuming the person jad not had power failure nor forgot or inadvertently failed to calibrate/set the clock and/or date and such for the vcr.. before if it even WOULD let the person set a schedule recording. So my bad lol

But does that remote do the menus and the OSDs?
