If companies/corporations behaved respectfully there wouldn't be a need for any oversight, just like employers treating their staff well. But we need govts and unions to be there for the almost constant incidents where people and markets are dominated by a few large entities who think nothing of breaking the law and ruining competition/employees.

Both are run by humans -- sometimes the exact _same_ humans. How exactly are we ensuring fair competition by allowing those with the most power, the least accountability and the most financial motivation to thumb the scales, to _actually_ thumb the scales?

And you gotta realize Druckman's not the only one responsible for what TLoU2 turned into, either. He may've had the crappy idea (which is evil, as it's intended as hate mongering, social engineering propaganda in the first place), but people at Sony had to sign off on this at every stage. They knew full well what they were doing. Since those people acquired controlling stake in Sony and moved its headquarters to California, it's not the same company. Look at the changes they've made across the company since. This is what they wanted to do.

Than their would be no need to do all this to You Tubers who only talked about what was leaked. No publicity is bad publicity. This has been done since the begining of time. When a "normal" citizen would sue a big corporation, said corporation's lawyers would find any legal ways to delay the trial (sometimes, almost forever) knowing that the person suing the company would run out of money before the company and would have to drop the case. So, they just adapted the technic to modern times and the interwebs.

Extortion is so commonplace in the Japanese entertainment industry that this behaviour isn't surprising to anyone who knows anything about Japan. I mean we're talking about an industry that literally played sides with the Yakuzas gangs and ordered hits on each other (looking at you Sony, Square, and Nintendo). None of this is surprising.

I'll give you a example, BFV had a similar backlash/controversy and yet it sold 7.3m units in 2019, yes it failed to meet EAs sales expectations but still, 7.3m is a lot in my opinion. Now I don't know what you meant by "few copies" because it's too vague for me. At least Gimme a hypothetical number on how many units will TLOU 2 sell?

The chain of command gets a bit confusing when we're talking about such an enormous global conglomerate.

Suggestion for a law ; If you make a false or wrong copyright claim, you owe money to the person you wrongfully claimed. You owe them compensation for false accusation. Maybe Sony in Japan need to be informed of what's going on and what SP, SIEE and SIEA are doing which could end up affecting the upcoming Playstation 5, movies and so on which will affect Sony Corporation as a whole.
