Just got my Charge 5 today and MAN! It's a table vibrator even though it hasn't really breaking in yet. 🙂 I really love how natural human voices and singing are produced by that little beast. It's brutal for its size.

Did you compare the sound while you were sitting facing the speakers? Near the end you mention that we viewers have better sound because you are behind the speakers. But the Sony really needs you to be in front of the speaker to hear what it's doing. I would love to see you revisit this comparison while listening in an optimal position. Also, the Sony promo video says you can place the speaker horizontally, and does not say that vertical is preferred. Horizontal placement allows the passive bass to exit on each end (note there is a grill on each end so clearly sound is intended to come from them, as well as from the narrow strip at front.) Thank you for your great videos. (I'm a very happy owner of a pair of XB33's which I listen to on stereo pair. One of my main uses is connected to my Peloton bike. If I place them on the floor in LIVE mode, I can get a fabulous room-filling sound while working out on the bike. )

I tuned the XG300, not the XE300 to bass 8, mid 7 and treble 6, JBL to 1, -1 and -2, and still the Charge 5 is better till about 70, 80 volume. After 80, Sony takes it. Sony is 200, Charge is 140 here.

Using the Flip 5 myself, and really happy with it. The Sony sound seems to be so muddy always. I've heard a couple of Sony speakers and it seems that they are doing this tuning on intention. What kind of music it's good for? I don't know. When put in the 'rock' preset, they sound way better.

2 woffers it's stereo bro. If we turn our head sideways it doesn't mean our ears automatically become mono but it won't sound like proper stereo seperation if it's standing up

Both sound great I preferred the Sony seemed a little more clear vs the JBL sounded boosted however as much as I preferred the Sony sound I went with the JBL solely because of the aux 😊

EQ is very subjective. It's better to test the speakers stock

I wonder if the battery care mode makes the sony speakers now play as loud as you probably want, It could have been on by default.

For me JBL won, coz it has the twitter sound and a booming Bass. For Sony is big for nothing to me, even low vocals in it

MY Charge 5 wins in clarity and balance. It sounds expensive and delicious.

for me it sounds like the charge 5 is becoming washed out ay higher volumes and the sony is maintaining its audio integrity a bit better and bass is a tad better on the sony but the jbl takes the cake in terms of volume

Ill go with sony due to 20hz low end. I wNt that sound for hiphop old rock music. I checked every brands sony only one bas this 20hz low end.

I returned my XE200 sounded bad even with eq the former Sonys were much better the xb20,xb21, xb22, xb23 etc it sounded muffled JBL MUCH undcore BETTER JBL IS KING AND SOUNDCORE right behind them the sony sounds flat no comparison to JBL ILL KEEP MY OLDer SONY’s JBL and SOUNDCORE are killing it

I heard the XE-200 over KZread and it does sound pretty damn boring. I still expected more from all of Sony's new speakers but the XG-500 is far more impressive than sonys other speakers

I'm Sony fan but those XE series are bad speakers In my country xe300 costs almost 200€...for comparasion xg300 costs around 240€
