Testing my new camera the RX0 ii with the moondoglabs anamorphic lens.
I thought a gopro gives a good picture. But with this camera you can push, swap, move around colors and contrast with much less artifacts.
1 big draw back on this camera is the field of view. A focal lenght of 24mm is to narrow. The anamorphic lens helps. But there is no room for cropping in post.
I’m still looking for a 0.5x-0.7x lens with a wide enough field of view and little aberration.

nice one. check for adapter plates to the 37mm mount - e.g. the sirui/moment bajonett - they all have a bit of vignetting though

Oh dang! Now I want this set up for my CineStyle flights. May have to see if I can get it to work with gyro Flow too 😁🤘🏼 Thanks for strapping this cam to a well tuned FPV rig 🙏🏼☺️

Yes, it works with GyroFlow. GyroFlow reads the gyro data from the camera.

Awesome. I have the RX0II but can't find the Moondogs Lab Cage or Anamorphic Lens anywhere these days-even second hand!

Thinking about an RX0II for a pocketable camera for photo/video. Definitely a shame that the cage and lens are totally unavailable from Moondogs

@@AdmiralSymthe RXOII has a distinctive magenta tinge to it's colour gamut so be prepared to spend a LOT of time creating a LUT to grade that out. I ended up giving up on it as an alternative to the GoPro for FPV because of this and the narrow field of view (24mm lens)requiring attaching a Wide Angle Converter. The quality of available adapters is, in my opinion, sub par to the existing quality of GoPros built in wide field of view.

@@dreamingorca a shame about the FPV qualities of this camera. Seems that if you wanna use it for that, you gotta mod it with a C-mount lens. I ended up doing that for my Hero 7 but not for FPV. If I can find an RX0II for under $400, I may still go for it
Really nice, is this better then the 0.6x lens you have? Also is this video stabilized in post processing?

An anamorphic lens has its own properties. And no stabilisation.
How were you able to mount the moondog labs lens on rxo ii?

It’s a default lut from davince resolve. It’s available in the free version.

Met deze camera en een andere lens wel. Het weer was de laatste maanden ook niet echt goed. Maar er komt nog meer beeld materiaal met deze camera.

No overheating issues… the RX0ii with the moondog lens can be fitted on any 5inch racing drone. There are some mounts on thingiverse. You’ll probably need to adjust one for your drone. That’s what i did. www.thingiverse.com/search?q=RX0&type=things&sort=relevant

No stabilization in this video. But Sony has Catalyst Browse. It’s a free gyro based stabilization program for Sony camera’s.

No auto focus. But I don’t need it. I just set it fixed to infinite.
