    Hi, i'm at 2.5.0 and hope that the next update fixes the "decreasing" bass after 50% volume, i don't care about battery consumption and if i wanted a flat sounding headphone i would have chosen a different brand.

    I bought them, I updated them because auto updates are on, yet when I select them my videos immediately lag to a halt, and music becomes impossible to listen to. The auto turn off option should be off by default, so people don't accidentally brick their headphones

    Hey, so i bought these on release and i have encountered many problems with the ANC that managed to attenuate but since the last update a couple days ago another problem appeared, i now have the ANC constantly whistling in my left ear when set on maximum, it wasn't doing it before. I can't wear the headphones anymore, the parasitic is sound is just too loud, i can hear it over music and videos. Even when not paired with my phone it keeps doing it. How come this occurs on a 300+ bucks pair of heaphones ?

    I recently purchased these headphones and I noticed that there’s a firmware version of 2.5.3 and I don’t see that anywhere on the Internet. Were these made recently with a newer firmware that I can find on the Internet. Because the most recent one is 2.5.0.

    Hello! I updated my headphones and the ANC just stopped working. Everything in the app is set to the most noise cancelling possible, I've followed every step on the Sony webpage to ensure it. I have also soft restarted them and factory reset them and nothing works. Everything was working fine before and now its like I don't even have noise cancelling headphones at all. Has anybody here fixed this issue somehow? Thank you!

    Happy 2022 you and your family. I own the Xm4 and the app keeps turning on “speak-to-chat” even though I keep turning it off. Is there an issue and solution you may know? Thanks

    Hi Art Music, thank you for reaching us and happy 2022 to you too. We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with Speak-to-chat feature on your SONY unit. You can also disable Speak-to-Chat by holding 2 fingers to the touch sensor control panel once again until you hear the voice guidance say, “Speak-to-chat deactivated”. If the issue persists even after disabling the said feature using the Headphone Connect app or by doing the step above, try resetting the unit by following this link: helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752743.html Please reply on the thread if you need or would like additional support. ~Earl

    Also is there a way to go back a version so I can redownload the current firmware version? Maybe that can solve my issues?

    Hi SmokeyOwOs, No, to ensure that your headphones remain at optimum performance, the installation of an older software version is not possible. The latest software version contains all the benefits and improvements of previous versions. Regards, David

    please do a video on the clicking soud when you open your mouth the hanger does a clicking sound and how to fix it please its driving me nuts making me to change the headphone and buy a bose one

    Hi, I just purchased Logitech's Z207 desktop speakers which are Bluetooth Capable. I can't find a way to pair the WH-1000XM4 headphones to the Logitech Z207 speakers. Both are flashing when pairing is active but the WH-1000XM4 headphones cant connect to them. Even using the Sony headphones app isn't able to recognize the pairing to the Z207. Is there another way to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Jayme, Unfortunately, you cannot pair the WH-1000XM4 to a Bluetooth speaker. These headphones are designed to receive a Bluetooth signal from a smartphone, tablet, and computer. I would suggest connecting both your Sony headphones and Logitech desktop speakers to your computer.     Is it possible to undo an update? Ever since I did whenever I connect to my computer the ANC quality is noticeably worse and the audio sounds as if I'm watching a video on the lowest quality setting. When connected to just my phone it works fine, but as soon as it connects to my PC it does what I mentioned, along with it not allowing me to optimize ANC. I hold the button and it doesn't respond. I can still press it to change to ambient sound, but holding it does nothing. Also on the app when I am connected to my computer, in the sound section the speak to chat option is now grayed out and the noise cancelling optimizer is grayed out also. Once again, all of this stuff comes back and works fine when connected to my phone. It all started with me updating the headphones. If anyone knows what to do please let me know.

    Same issue here. When connected to PC although it is connecting sound is worst , sometimes appears , sometimes no sound..

    Hi Sony Support, I purchased last year brand new WH-1000XM4. Since recent weeks i am noticing the AUTO PAUSE feature is not working when i take out headphones. Even the AUTO SWITCH OFF feature is not working when headphone is kept out "ON" state without use for long time . I verified, have the latest firmware already updated . Kindly help on this. What could be the reason ? Thanks

    Hi Ramesh, We're sorry to hear about the issues you're having. If the WH-1000XM4 headphones won't pause or the Wearing Detection function doesn't work, it is possible that the proximity sensor part inside the left unit housing gets fogged up, or if there are water droplets on it due to condensation or humidity (from changing temperatures or sweat, for example), the Wearing Detection function may not work properly. If this happens, leave the proximity sensor part facing up until the moisture disappears. Also, when using the Sony | Headphones Connect app, please make sure that the [Pauses when headphones are taken off] is enabled from the Dashboard to pause music playback when you take off the headphones. And check if the [Off when headphones are taken off] and [Automatic Power Off] are both enabled to ensure that the headphones turn off when not in use for a long time.     @@SonySupportUSA Hi Sam , It feels extremely happy to me seing such detailed help from Sony team. Thanks a lot 🙏🏻. You are right i has lots of sweating problems in summer which could have caused that. I tried that facing headphones upside but seems moisture is not going. Do you recommend me to put headphones for sometime on sun ☀️ for the moisture to disappear ?. Please have your suggestions. Thank you 🙏🏻

    @@SonySupportUSA Thank you Sam. They are the MDR 1000X. They have been operating superbly on my Android phone via Bluetooth, but I’ve recently moved over to iPhone and have been unable to connect to it. I assumed it’s a firmware issue. I tried updating via old Android phone but the app doesn’t find my headphones even though they are connected. Many thanks.

    This is a horrible update process. The fact you need to give so many caveats is a red flag. Appreciate the host but the underlying software process is painful

    I had purchased my 1000xm4 in late 2021. My right side lasts about 5 minutes and left side lasts between 50-60 minutes. I had paid around $270 plus tax. I feel my money was wasted. I do not recommend these to anyone. Don't waste your money
