Fantastic work like always! Love the videos. I just started filmmaking wildlife videography which I have little experience in doing. But I found out quickly that the EVF absolutely makes that process so much easier to accomplish. But of course wildlife filmmaking is a very particular style of shooting. (A7SIII shooter)

@@TheEverythingMan Yeah, I know. I can still get the same shots, quality out of the A7siii. It's just the little things like no EVF on the top, tally lights, no cage needed for light rigging. If the FX3 came out first, I probably would have gotten than. But I am definitely happy with my A7siii. 👍

I am converting from micro 4/3 black magic pocket 4k and gh5 to Sony and this video may have sold me to get the fx3. Im just slowly watching my budget lol. I just subscribed.

I wonder what the reaction would have been if the FX3 was released before the A7SIII. I think the flat profile without the viewfinder hump is the way forward. Not sure why the viewfinder a still a prominent feature. I traded my A7III for the A7C and will definitely get the FX3 over the A7SIII if I had to choose. Thanks for the video.

If you are upgrading from the a7iii and still plan on using it for a B cam then I recommend the a7siii. It gets confusing using the different layout on the fx3

Great video man. I’m back and forth. I have the a7c and the a7siii. Contemplating that second a7siii for a backup cam and also for weather sealing 😆 id rather have those video centric features than having to worry about rigging up my zoom h4n work around.

I don't know why people are getting bent over the on off switch. So much easier than the right hand model, where it switches on every time it gets put in a bag.

Hey, i just got FX3. There was front sensor curtain protector when i first unbox it. When i turned it on, it opened and then never closed? It was same like one in canon... but my canon close every-time i turn off the camera, but it never closed back again in FX3. Is there anything I am missing? I looked at many unboxing and no one has that sensor shutter.. and no one is talking about it.. but mine was closed when i first unbox the camera..

I see the shutter sometimes in cameras. It’s normal, the FX3 doesn’t have the same shutter feature the eos r has I wish it did though

This camera looks AMAZING but I can't justify purchasing it at this time as I just got the A7C a few months ago. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!

Couldn't agree more. I own both the A7siii and now the FX3. And I'll be real... it wasn't full-blown-love-at-first-hold. But a couple days later I was like "this is the greatest camera I have ever held or used." And I'm completely obsessed now.

I think Sony should have released the a7SIII and FX3 at the same time. The differences are ergonomics mostly and I honestly believe some of the salty a7SIII owners actually would have preferred the FX3. Personally, I like my a7SIII better...but that is for ME and for someone with different needs the FX3 could be way better for them and thus more choices is always a great thing.

Funny to watch this vid 3 months later - all of the sudden I'm seeing "I'm switching to the Fx3, and here's why" from people who were like "I'm not switching because it's the same camera". I also have the opinion that while the FX3 might not be a "cinema" camera in the purest sense, I have to ask the question back to those that say "It's not"...Okay, then what IS IT? It's certainly not a stills camera. It's a "cinema" camera because its really not anything else. Or maybe it belongs on the Island of Misfit Toys. Either way, I HAD both, and now I only have the FX3 and my A7SIII is in the hands of some happy eBay person. Go figure. Thanks for the great vid.
