How do you mount your monitor? Leave a comment sharing your FX3 setup!

For option 3 you just need a counterweight on the right side. Can you not slide the rod further to the right and then add some bit of weight to it somehow?

Since the release of this video, I bought a small X wing shaped base plate that goes on the bottom of the frame that keeps it steady. It works fine, but an easier solution is to just use a small magic arm mounted to the back of the top handle instead of hanging off the left side. I also like this because the external monitor is closer to me and the camera is balanced. I think everyone should experiment with different solutions and go with what works best for them and their shooting style. Thanks for contributing to the conversation and providing a good tip!

I second this but use the six inch version Nicey rig makes one for Arcaswiss or Manfrotto tripods base plates. Hope this helps

@@bumbuso6721 Thank you so much for the tips! When I don't need to capture audio, I have been sliding the monitor closer to the center of the body to keep it from tipping over for now.

I came down to the Comeback to mention the nicey rig baseplate. I have that one attracted to my smallrig folding v- mount plate and can quickly take my cam off the complete base and v- mount or use it as is and have the full rig. The nicey rig plate also has arca Swiss on the whole length of the bottom for easy use on tripods

If you have rails and a 501 base plat, battery, etc., it should not fall to the side. I have a 5 inch monitor with a cage mounted on the side and it doesn't tip. Mount it from the bottom rail and it should be fine.
