Sorry i waited so long to post here. I received mine about 3 weeks ago and it was easily my best purchase yet. The weight distribution is bang on with the Smallrig99 vmount battery, and my footage is much more stable. Really easy shooting handheld now and I find myself using the gimbal less too. Well done Rigidpro. Best upgrade to teh Fx3 you can buy IMO.

Really nice work!! Much better design you did by maintaining (and supporting) the xlr top handle. Would love to see some designs for a7 series cameras, either with the xlr top handle (small rig makes an adapter that lets you mount it on those camera with their cages) or with the xlr-k3m somehow integrated in a convenient spot (ideally not blocking the usage of a separate top handle).

They are made in batches and it’s been hard to keep up with the demand. They do sell out and it can be anywhere between days and weeks before stock is available again. If you’re thinking of purchasing do it while there is stock showing to avoid delays or disappointment. We just received more stock of the Standard Edition today, but there is no ETA for the Top Handle version currently.

Now that UVC is supported on iPad, and Monitoring and IP Encoder Apps being developed, I believe many people would adopt using iPad as monitor and Encoder. I suggest you add usb-c hub and a usb capture card. The capture card connects to the hub and the hub connects to the iPad. The importance of having a Multiport USB Hub in between and not simply having USB Capture Card connecting to the iPad, is to allow things like Ethernet connection, Adding multiple USB LTE dongles for bonded connection when streaming and useful to have HDMI output from the iPad itself, therefore a USB Hub is useful. I wonder if this is something you would try to build. Otherwise am super excited about the functionality Rig for the ZV E1.

You can already use D-Tap to USB adaptors which we recommend for powering camera. There is only so much real estate available without making the camera bases unnecessarily bigger. The ZV-E1 is not currently on our roadmap for new product development.

I missed the latest cineback pre-order by 15 minutes so I ended up getting this instead!

This model works exclusively with the highly stable 8sinn cage. We wanted to release a product that would be reliable for many years in the field and the 8sinn allows the top handle with our design and is very stable.

What cage is being used on with this cinema rig? I don't see any reference anywhere. I want to ensure I have everything i need when I purchase. Thanks!

The V-mount battery (detachable and not supplied) when connected, can be used to either power the camera (d-tap to dummy battery), or you can use a d-tap to USB-C connected to the camera to keep the camera battery charged. Let us know if you need more information.

This looks similar to the cineback build; is there any difference between this and their version?

We haven't physically seen the other one - but aside from the obvious which is that this works with the Sony Top Handle, it's also produced from High Temp Resistant and UV stable PET-CF - which is a carbon fibre composite. Other filaments may warp on a hot afternoon shoot in the sun (wedding etc), or worse, deform if left in a hot car. It makes it extremely tough and durable. It also includes a LCD Voltmeter so you can see quickly what voltage is coming from your V-mount battery. Overall it's very solidly built, and the weighting feels amazing in your hand.

What's wrong with your Cineback? At least Cineback is compatible with Smallrig and Tital Cages.. (Seems really that Rigid totally ripped off the design of Cineback though..) @fishvisionsmedia

@fishVisions is your fx3 firmware updated? If so are you getting the weird battery notification when you turn on the camera with the cineback rig attached? Its the only thing discouraging me from buying one.

@@TvBoxHead yes, any kind of battery that’s not the original small Sony battery you will get that notification. Vmount or any 3rd party battery
