My A7RV makes me very happy. The autofocus is amazing and the 61MP are more than enough for me. This camera is only a year and half old and people are already speculating about a version VI?

I compared in Dpreviews and my a7c gen 1 has better sensor in Low light conditions. A7cr and a7rv have lot of details in day light, but i prefer my 24mp sensor in photo above 3200 iso. Overall i prefer my old a7c. With a7cii the difference is less visible. But still a7c have less noise in photo and video. Maybe with the 61mp the noise are finer if you don’t crop, but if you want to crop in theory the noise will become bigger and worse than on the 24mp without cropping. The media file size is also the reason i prefer to stay with my good old a7c which had only one weakness: the video stabilization (photo stabilization is good). I solve that with a gimbal. High res is good for daylight but not for difficult light conditions. The af seems better definitely on the new camera a7r5, a7cr and a7cii but the old a7c, a7iv are still very good.

The only thing that could make me look to replace my a7c is if sony create a 8k60p stacked sensor or global shutter with quality sensor with dual lenses VR 180 without overheating and gyro stabilization rivaling a full gimbal when walking and running with all sort of lenses including telephoto lenses. They need new compression algorithm to reduce file size,, a new processor 3 nanometer to reduce heat, and bring 32 bits float sound. They need to make the sensor faster to prevent rolling shutter as well. I forgot also to put a removable filter directly on the sensor itself for VR 180 lenses. I think one company is doing it for a1 and a7c only for Sony and Canon camera. But only the r5 has dual lenses vr 180

@@CC-gt3roThat’s not accurate though. If you scale the images 1:1 the noise is identical. The sensors are the same size and collect the exact same amount of light. The reason it looks like the r cameras have more noise is because you can zoom into the details much farther than you can on the 24mpx sensor.

There already are several 100MP cameras out there, but for full frames it would obviously be the first. Maybe it would give Canon a solid little push to resume work on their high res body as well. I’m all for seeing Sony take their time and make it perfect, and hopefully higher frame rate than the V (which is the one thing that concerns me about that model.)

Thanks for the video. I own and use both the A1 x2 and the A7RV and love the rumored improvements / enhancements covered here. Want to learn more since I’ve look at a MF body for improved resolution and also wish my A1 has A7RV features. Take care.
