Correction: Face Detection AF does work with an external recorder, you just need to disable internal recording in the settings. This was demonstrated by Gerald Undone a few years ago.

I have the Sony A7s3 and the A73 and I still love the A73 it’s just such a good all rounder and it has been the camera i rely on time and time again. More importantly the current used price is awesome . There are some good alternatives now but at the used price of around £1300 for the features its hard to beat. Just to add if you pick up a good used lens such as the sigmas or Tamron 27-75 its a great starter package.

Some people had issues with external monitors and AF. I didn't, but it's just a simple external monitor without any recording or anything of that nature

I could of afforded the A7RIII or A7SIII however I am a hybrid shooter and videographer and this seemed like the right choice to start from switching over from my canon 90D to full frame. I was going to wait for the A7IV next year but I can always sell and upgrade. Great Vid!

Loved the Vlog Jacek, I’ve just purchased this camera and one little moan I have is regarding the charging port. When you put the charger in it only seems to go a third of the way in. Not sure why this is but i wondered if you or anyone else had the same experience ?

Honestly I use external charger for 2 batteries mainly. I did try to charge with the camera couple of times though, bur did't notice the problem

Any thoughts on upgrading from my current 6400 to a7Iii? I already have 85mm and 28mm full frame lenses but also a number of apsc lenses that would be redundant I guess. The a7iii looks a nicer camera to use, I noted the battery life too. What about comparing image quality?

Huh, that's a tough one. Honestly 4k, 24fps from sony a6400 looks a bit better to me than on a7iii. When it comes to photos the dynamic range of A7III is liitle better. But it all depends on what you do. If you find A6400 enough for you, buying A7III may not be the best investment. You can buy more lenses or accesories instead.

Great work. I have too sony A7lll. Do you use HLG2 with standard settings?

Yes I do! Probably there are some secret tricks out there, but I found it totally enough to edit and skin tones are really good.

Dziekuje za ten film! Mocno rozważam a7ii i a7iii, przesiadam się z nikona 7200. Często slysze od doświadczonych fotografów „date the camera, merry the lens”, ciekawi mnie Twoje zdanie w temacie. Lepiej kupić a7ii i zainwestować w powiedzmy dwa dobre lustra, czy lepiej a7iii i nabyć uniwersalne szkło Np tamrona? Pozdrawiam i dziekuje raz jeszcze za ten film, mało jest filmów na polskim yt w temacie bezlusterkowcow, a szkoda, bo coraz więcej pro fotografów przerzuca się na bezlustra. Wydaje mi się ze u nas kuleje mit, ze profesjonalny aparat musi być mega klocem, aby wyglądał profesjonalnie ;)

Hej! Mega kloce odchodzą :)) To jest trudne pytanie, ponieważ aparaty nie starzeją się tak szybko jak się wydaje więc to jest długi okres randkowania :) Szczególnie w przypadku Sony gdzie af jest świetny, low light zawsze na dobrym poziomie a bagnet E nie odejdzie do lamus jak pewnego dnia canon EF (na rzecz bezlusterkowca). Dużo zależy od czego chcesz zacząć. Jesli podróże i pejzaż kup A7III i 16-35 f4 potem możesz dokupić jakąś stałkę. Jeśli śluby - nie baw się w zooma tylko stałki - wtedy A7III i 50mm na początek będzie super. Potem 85 i 35. A7III to prawdziwy mistrz choć A7II to też super aparat, ale... Szkoda wchodzić w poprzednią generację, tak 'honestly' :)

I just started my channel a year ago learning to shoot with a Canon 60D. I don't have this camera anymore and I am ready to upgrade real soon. Your video was very helpful.

Good question, Sony a7iii is a workhorse. If budget is important and you like canon maybe canon RP is an option? Futureproof, small, lightweight.... I like RP a lot it's very underrated.

Hej! Pytanie jakiego masz Canon'a? Sony mi nie płaci, jestem na razie małym youtuberkiem :) To sprzęt na który ciężko pracowałem, kupiłem za własne i szczerze polecam ponieważ dał mi ogromną wolność twórczą i dostęp do ogromnego wyboru kapitalnych obiektywów.

Hej! Używałem zarówno Tamrona jak i Sony. Powiem krótko Sony 16-35 F4 to mój koń roboczy - zrobiłem nim ponad 200 sesji wnętrz i jest totalnie niezawodny. Mogę go z czystym sumieniem polecić. Tamron jest spoko ale to nie to.

Sony E-mount FE 24mm F1.4 GM Full Frame Wide-angle Prime Lens , what kind of shots would you recommend the most by shooting with this lens , and how's this lens compared to 28 mm 2.0 ?

FE 24mm 1.4 GM is a much cheaper lens, great for landscapes, and environmental portraits, it's a great lens but... it's expensive. 28mm is also great but not ideal for landscapes. It's my main video lens.

I can only afford one lens. What one lens would you recommend for this camera? I’m thinking of sigma 24-70mm

If only one lens, 24-70 f2.8 is a perfect choice. Some photographers never use anything else.

Honestly it doesn't matter too much, depending on your preference. A7c is smaller and slightly refreshed so you may want to consider it as superior

Interesting question. It is not considered as High-End camera in sony lineup, so probably not. However if you compare it to high end cameras like sony A9II, or Canon R5 it can compete without a problem.

Would you recommend getting a gently used one?

Sure! If you find one in good condition, go for it. Those cameras are very durable.

WItam, tak czytam czytam, oglądam i analizuje na wszelkie możliwe aspekty i doszedłem do pewnych konkluzji, ale chętnie bym usłyszał też Twoją opinię. Waham się obecnie pomiędzy zestawem A (Sony 16-35mm f/4 plus sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 plus stałka Sony 85mm f/1.8) a zestawem B (Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 plus stałka Sony 85mm f/1.8). Generalnie moje myślenie jest takie czy wziąć jeden jasny obiektyw czy mniej więcej w jego cenie dwa, ale mieć dwa mm więcej możliwości (mam teżna myśli astro). Co o tym sądzisz? Dzięki za odp

Long story short. I bought this camera one year ago + 24105 4 + 35 2.8 + 50 1.8 + 85 1.8 + tammy 1728 2.8 + i used it very little thx to covid 🤧

@@RAYDTV 28 f2.0 small and awesome, 50mm 1.8 a real gem and 85mm 1.8. Also Samyang (Rokinon) 35mm 1.4 is amazing

It's cheap for full-frame camera. If you want something super capable and very cheap, look for used aps-c cameras. That's the best way - I've been there for many years

Hey! Interesting perspective. It's true that all manufacturers are pushing their stuff as long as it is possible, and a lot of photographers think that it's time for A7mkIV. But... For the moment it's not here and A7III is still a great performer, so it's a bit complicated in the end :)

@@JacekSopotnicki I think not great anymore but fairly good. But why rush if much better body is behind a corner? A7IV is coming for 3 or 4 months. Lets shoot with cameras we already have and save money for newer and better tech. 😉 Cheers.
