SONY A7III Cinematic Video & Thoughts After 1 Week

Фильм және анимация

I've had the A73 for less than a week but I've already shot some stuff and wanted to give you all my initial impressions about the camera, while showing you some footage I shot with it. This video contains a mix of 4K footage as well as some 120fps footage in 1080p. I also wanted to get a feel for the autofocus, and how the camera performed on the Zhiyun Crane 2.

This is actually the right way or the native-way(Italian) to pronounce "Pasta“, we the Spanish-speakers pronounce it in the same way. I didn't understand the comments before because it was so natural to me. 😅 Anyway this is about a camera we all are interesting in.

First off, you're saying pasta the correct way. 2nd, I love how you're not just shooting great shots for the sake of shooting, your videos have a purpose, you're out there grinding. Very refreshing compared to people who are "creators" but the only reason they create is to get another video up on KZread. Always great to see the purpose behind the shot

Great video as always! I've been using the sony a6500 for the past year and I loved it besides the screen brightness. I have to buy a new camera this month, have you had any auto focus issues with sigma or canon lenses on the camera if you have tested any? I heard the 100/120 FPS footage looks not that great, the a6500 100/120 fps footage was great though imo, so I can only assume the a7iii performs atleast as good or better?

Great information! I'm coming back to USA for 6 weeks and will probably be picking up this camera. I'm so sick of the lack of autofocus for use on a gimbal. And in need of better low light. Will probably keep both cameras though for now (share the sigma 18-35 Canon mount with different adapters). Still love the quality of footage on GH5 and 4k60 I use all the time. Really stoked after just spending 408 straight hours reading reviews on the A7iii. :)

Luke I can only compare it with what im using 5dm4, 1dxii. sony’s batt usually last me about 3-5 hrs on intermittent video shooting, in hd. Eats up more if 4k. Extra batteries are cheap and works well. Meanwhile, canons dont take generics lol

Just getting into videography for the first time and deciding between the a6500 or the a7iii. Is the no crop factor at 120fps enough to spend the extra money on the a7iii alone? The a6500 is at a great price point and the glass is certainly cheaper but it is also two years old which worries me. what are peoples thoughts?
