hey. love your videos. What would you recommend for a documentary photographer/multimedia journalist to use? I'm really confused between A6400, A6600, A6700, A7C, and Fuji's X-T3, X-T4, X-S20 (and maybe the X-T30 ii). Would love to hear from you. [I own a Nikon D750, and I've been meaning to get a second mirrorless camera for photo+video for my purposes. And I'm into portraiture as well and may shoot commercial stuff like music videos, etc. using natural lighting].

Biggest difference between the systems is going to be lens options and Autofocus ability. Sonys AF is industry leading. Sonys lens mount also allows you to upgrade or add another Full frame versions and share lenses. Fuji only offers APSC and Medium format with 2 different lens mounts. Between the Sonys, honestly it’s more your budget. 6700 is by far better. But for the value, the 6600 and 6400 are still very good. Go with what fits your budget and grow from there.

Hi everyone, im a new sony user from canon, Got my 6700. Ques; anybody knows why sony doesnt have the continuous auto focus when the photo timer is on? the AF-C wont work which i rely on 90% of the time as a solo content creator taking my own moving street photos using my tripod. Its only set on AF-A & results to me being blurred as the subject and the background is sharp. Is this really sony's feature? How to fix this? Thanks a lot

Fuji Xs20 vs Sony a6700 which one is good in overall terms?

Nice video! But i wonder if anyone tried to do astrophotography with the 6700, i am kinda undecided on the camera i wanna buy ,as i Will use it mostly for landscape photography and ocasionaly astrophotography and i dont want a full frame camera. Thanks in advance

The viewfinder could be better. An external high resolution viewfinder would be nice to have.

something between a zve10/ a6700/ fx30 would be really good on the lower side of the budget. Or a zve1/ fx3 or canon r6 mk Ii on the higher en dof the budget

What would you recommend as a lens for the a6700 primarily photos/videos for traveling (landscapes/portrait).

The sigma 18-50 f 2.8 has insane image quality, low aperture and impressive size. It’s one of the best aps c lenses on the market and it’s super cheap

@4:00, he is using the SD card with 2 rows of contactsin the back, the A6700 can advantage of this kind of card, it costs more than the single row of contacts, but worth it.

When choosing between the Sony A6700 and the Canon R7 which would you choose? I mostly want my camera for beginner videography but a little bit of photography as well

I’ve ordered yesterday but people say it overheated even when they walk on menu ) for me its not a problem but consider this for long streams. It could output 4k 120 via usb i think

Hi, Hope you are well. Since you are using (reviewed) two cameras (The ZV-E10 and a6700), I would like a suggestion from you. My main job is to make indoor videos. Like DIY, craft making, painting video making etc. Also, outdoor videos are just the occasional tour vlogging video. In terms of photography, only street photography and nature photography are my hobbies. Between Sony A6700 and Sony ZV-E10 which would be better overall and value for money in my case? I bought the Zv e10 few months ago as my first camera. It is great and doing its job amazing, but now i am switching to the 6700 as next step because the missing ibis of the zve10, which I need for travel videography. But for photography and videography if you have time to stabilize the videos in postproduction, its a very good choice if youre looking for a long time invest, the 6700 maybe be the better choice

ive been left the world of photography for almost 6 years. now planning to make a comeback and i hav no idea about the gadgets and updates nowadays. is this camera good for me ? ive been using 5d mark 2 since it came out. im doing 80% photoshoot no video. a6400 + lenses or a6700 ?

Hello. The s6400 doesn't have IBIS (in body image stabilization), and only a few lenses have OSS (stabilization). So I would choose either the older a6500, the a6600 or the new a6700. The autofokus is better on the newer versions. But it depends on what you shoot. I do most landscapes and some street shooting, so the a6500 is good enough, I think. But can only get that one used. The a6600 new or used . The a6700 is very expensive where I live. Good luck.

I have a full frame Nikon but want an apsc body for extra reach without carrying a huge lens when shooting photos and videos and my nephews baseball / basketball games. Is the 18-135mm kit lens a good option with the a6700 for starters?

the a6700 is one of the best apsc camera you can get right now. and your Sony lenses can also be adapter to work with Nikon z mount cameras. I think the 18-135 is a great lens for basketball. I think you’re on the right track with the a6700

I want a camera that I will use mainly for recording myself going to the gym and doing gym exercises and somewhat being a gym influencer. all of these camera would be fantastic! my personal favorite would be the a7c mk II because its small, stlyish and really good video and great photos. But it is very close to your budget limit. I would get the 20-70 f4 lens. it is 10/10 amazing quality

@@TechThroughTheLensthanks I was also confused between a7cii and a7iv but considering a7cii for full frame, travel and personal photos and videos. It’s new with all the latest features and looks fantastic in silver colour 😊

Can you upload in 4k next ? Even if the timeline is in 1080p cause 1080p video compression on youtube is too much.

sony didnt say that I think but internal tests show it actually has dual ISO, make sense since it has the same sensor as the FX

yes and no some people have it and some don't but from a video 4k 30 overheats in around more than an hour of filming 4k 60 around 20-30 mins 4k 120 around 10 mins

i actually using tamron 17-70mm i think im going back with sigma 18-50 more compact, and also we can get similar 70mm by using image clear zoom from A6700.

Lots of people diss the 18-50mm kit lens, but I can tell you from personal experience that even though it's not a "pro" quality lens, you WON'T be disappointed at all! In fact, you may be surprised just how good it is, especially for video! For extended zoom I activated the full 4 X digital option in my 6600 and that little Sony lens still delivered! So yeah, absolutely a great kit lens!

both the camera would be great. For a podcast you should have 2 camera, so the zve10 would be better. Fx30 and a6700 are almost the same tech but in bodies for different use cases. The fx30 is film sets the a6700 is more a casual / content creator camera.

Had zv e10 and purchased a6700 for controlled environment save money and get e10 now there are plenty of good offers! And get sigma 16mm 1.4 that combo super crazy for studio work!

No heating lol. I just upgraded the firmware and it's heating just like before. And there's 1 more problem with a6700. It randomly freezes. Mine did 2-3 times, and i have clicked total 75 pics. Thinking about returning it with some loss.

@MinaNasr91 So I returned the unit and got new replacement, new one is not freezing. On 4k 30 no over heating. Actually I can confirm it only overheats on 4k 60p 200mbps highest resolution. But not on 4k 60p 4.2.2. 265 100mbps

If you even half fill the buffer on burst mode and you didn't get the shot, you probably shouldn't be holding a camera.

you can, when you see the video framerates the M means megabits/s not MegaBytes. My V60 writespeed is like 200MB/s...
