it overheats when recording to sd card but its fine if you externally via the micro hdmi cable

pas de quoi, j' ai trouvé tes video très beaux. I was trying to find some reviews about the a5100, cause it s got a really good quality for videos but the only problem is that it hasn't got the possibility to plug an external microphone... that' s weird. otherwise I have to buy the a7s but it's too expensive. do you know if is possible to find a way to use an ext mic with the a5100? And again good job.

+MRNBD Yes, it is true that it is the problem of a5100! On the other hand the stereo internal microphone is good quality. Only one solution is to buy a digital tape recorder with a microphone, to have an upper quality sound. and thank you again ;)

have you ever tried a helios 44 with it? i have mine paired with a helios 44-3 and it is amazing, the circular bokeh it creates are really surreal and peaceful, you will love it. i use all my zeiss and G lenses with my A7II and i use my a5100 for experiments and pair with adapted vintage lenses haha

hi thomas…i bought a sony A5100 I'm having trouble with importing and found out you have to convert the videos, from AVCHD XAVCS AND MP3 which one is the best format to film on, and is the a free converter i get or do i have to buy one… cause most websites have the free trial thing and when u convert it…..theres a logo on the movie…. I edit all my films with iMovie 2010-11… whats the best way for me to film and edit my videos…cheers

+THE BANGKOK BRO hi ! i film i avchd 25p and i import in sony vegas without... in your case you have to convert avchd to .mov in order to open in iMovie. in french there is this : www.movieconverter-studio.com/home_fr.htm maybe you can it in english !

Okay so I have questions I'm a dancer would this camera be great to make dancing videos is it clear the video camera?? and also does this camera take great clear pictures. i hate recording with my phone lol i want a new camera is this one good enough or do you have another suggestion.

u sure this wasn't filmed on a red cinema camera?

When you speak of price it's still MUCH, MUUUUCH cheaper than the A6100 (half the price) and ZVE10 (close to thrice the price). I'm looking for at least three cameras purely for a studio broadcast setting where I don't need over 1080p or high frame rates. So no need to spend more that the price of A5100s. Shame they aren't cheaper though.

did you denoise this video? this can't be that 449 euro camera, this is seriously amazing!!

hi! yes this is the sony alpha 5100 !! I have make fine adjustments on the camera to have this quality ! in addition lens canon 50 mm f 1.8 works well with the 5100 ! I have a little lower contrast in post production for the effect I want , so normally the picture is even cleaner and youtube is also losing qualiter ! thanks for your comment ! sorry for the English this is google translation ...

try cranking up the ISO a bit in the mirrorless cameras dear, it will improve low light quite a bit, they have a manual mode for a purpose, of course if you take a point and shoot camera and point and shoot something it will perform the best the camera can perform, if you do the same with your mirrorless or dslr camera the quality will be quite low, try going 4 or 5k ISO the sensor is quite good on these cameras the quality won't take too much of a hit, maybe adjust the shutter speed a bit slower if you want to take a pic in the dark instead of cranking the ISO if you prefer, actually you can do both, nothing to fancy or complicated just play a bit with the settings you'll find out that you can get pretty great quality videos and images from these 2 cameras.

hmmm really?? is this sony a5100? i dont think this camera isnt good like that... sorry it’s just my opinion
