Wait were you using the 11mm F1.8 in full frame mode? Does it not have vignetting in Full Frame Mode?

Is you are correct I was using 11mm in ff mode. It does have a little bit of vignetting but if you turn on active stabilisation it will crop in a little bit. Then it remains a small vignette that you can easily remove in post with a small crop. You are definitely wider than a 16 mm even with those 2 crops and you have the benefit of being very stable thanks to active stabilisation. I made a video showing it on the 10-20 f4 and he principle is the same. @@ShadesOfTech yeah I'm looking into the 11mm 1.8 as we speak. I sent an offer to a guy of $310 for a used 10-18mm F4. I might cancel that and get this 11mm. Question do you get vignetting from IBIS when you move the camera fast? I saw that in another video. However I plan on using a RS 3 Mini so I probably won't even use IBIS most of the time.

10-18 from what I heard is old, unreliable autofocus and not very sharp. I decided to don’t buy it. Yes if you move fast it might come up ibis moving vignette. Again it’s got some minor trade off but the 16-35 f4 costs more than 1.200$ while this one 500$ For me it was to have a nice wide lens but that I use just for establishing shot vlog or real estate. My primary lens is 24-70 f2.8 or 85 f1.8 . If wide is your primary you should invest in something more expensive. Or at least try it on Amazon. If it’s not good for you just return it. I did this with 10-20 and discovered that I didn’t use the zoom so I choose for this 11 prime

@@ShadesOfTech oh wow thanks for the info. I'll definitely probably get the 11mm F1.8 then. I was considering getting the FX30 for my main video camera and at the same time it'll be perfect for Slow Motion shots on the A7iv. Thanks for helping me kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Yes with Sony a7iv you have the bonus of using it in 4k60 with apsc mode and it becomes a 16
