Honestly yeah. Not a bad trade for old hardware. However if the visuals peak their interest, then they’ll be disappointed

At low settings, it looks like a 2015 game. Some people might just like that. But damn, the difference is night and day!

trouble is that middle is subjective, is it not? unless, yes, there's a "medium" mode but this is great!!! i've been wanting a video like this for a while now!!

myna dosent even look like low settings i have no idea why but everything is really grey, upgraded gpu drivers reinstalled the game did nothing. duno whats restricting it.

actually makes me feel so bad looking at what it could look like

i can run max graphics with a few framerate fluctuations here and there on my 6600 xt. i’m surprised how incredible this game looks for being made in unity. it looks almost identical to real life

Its been a long time since any game has done this to me but them caves when I first played in one had my hair on the back of my neck standing at times.

yeah and sons of the forest is the same. I cant wait for the full release. i've never had as bad of a jump scare when the first cannibal came running at me super fast. I heard the footsteps and it scared the shit out of me when I turned around

I have the 4070ti intel i7 13700f and get roughly 80-120 fps at 1440p on max settings. anything above 75 on pc is pretty good. below 60 is unplayable for me for a 1st person game

Crazy how my 7900xt has only 8 less FPS than the rtx 4090, which is $800 more.

Though I do have an older CPU in a Ryzen 7 1700, I am struggling to make 50 frames with a RTX 3060 and 32GB of RAM. I think the first update should be focused on optimization. I can get better performance out of RDR2 and Hogwarts on Ultra.

I play on ultra on 1440p using my RTX 2060 and ryzen 7 3800x, i get stable 40 fps. Yeah, it could do some optimalization since i get only 10 fps more when changing res to 1080p lol

Its a cpu bound game and its in early access it will get optimised in the future.

Does not matter which GPU you have when the CPU is such a bottleneck in your system. Yes, the game should be optimized, but honestly you need a newer CPU, nothing else.

Optimization is very bad as it is still an early access game. RTX 3060 gives very low fps on cards under Dekstop graphics card.

I have 60+ fps all of the time on HIGH at 1080p, with around 75 on average

5800x3d w/2080 super does 60fps on ultra.. lmao Saved a few thousand dollars.

@@Kattenb I’ve never used DLSS in Sons of the Forest, because I don’t need it ha. I get 60 plus FPS all of the time 1440p maxed out. I get lots of FPS, so I’m guessing with DLSS on

POV: You play on the left side and barely reach 30 fps

@@Ahrths if you want decent/good graphics i would suggest a 2060-2070 gpu at least, if you could do with lower graphics 1080ti is the recommended original gpu

Even a 4090 can't output +144fps 🤣 This 'game' isn't even early access worthy. 2022-2023 are literally the years of horrible optimization or none at all, with developer's just saying "use DLSS" Even DLSS doesn't do a single thing in this dumpster fire

Bro calm down, how can you tell that reason of optimization as "not early access worthy"? They've literally said there are some changes soon. They've want to show the gameplay since their fans cannot wait to try it. Why don't you try to be patient too? I also hope that this game runs better than today. So early access doesn't mean it's already a dumpster fire release in this state. So again, CALM DOWN.
