Last year I archived Sons of the Forest already, but that was the very first version and last month the 1.0 version dropped with a whole bunch of new content. Besides a new intro cinematic there are also new boss fights, new areas to explore and an entirely new ending.
Previously I also tackled the Forest alone and this time I am accompanied by my three friends Ryan, Wuzi and Greg as we hunt wildlife, explore various caves and hopefully find a way to escape the island and its mutants.
The game is still great and its such a great mixture between tense and scary moments and times where you can chill and relax as you build your base or are flying with the glider. The AI companion that builds and collects for you is also a first and I have seen many survival games implement that mechanic since then.
So the creators of the Forest and Sons of the Forest continue to innovate and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
