The battery life and the usb-c device charging are major reasons I’ll be getting the Move 2 over the Move 1. I’m not an audiophile so I doubt I’ll hear the difference especially if I only have one to listen to and no comparison. Great video!

Your reviews are great. I watched your review of the Sonos Era 300 and 100’s, bought a pair of both and I have not regretted the purchase. Then In bought a pair of Mini-subs to pair with them…wow! I also have Gen 2 Home Pods on my apple TV’s. When I play music through the Gen 2’s then compare the sound to the Era 300, in my opinion the 300’s win hands down. Your honest reviews are the reason I now own Sonos speakers. And I don’t use the word “honest” just to say it. In my line of work, I don’t deal with many honest people. So, I bought the 2 Move 2’s and pair them in stereo, my gosh, the sound is incredible. I do not watch much TV so my Gen 2 HomePods will be used for only for my Apple TV speakers. I am not going to play music through them any more. What I can say about the Gen 2’s, they do sound really good, the bass is really deep but cannot adjusted, (can be reduced), however, the Sonos sound is so musch richer and fuller than the Gen 2’s. Thanks Stephen, keep the honest reviews coming. My next purchase will be the iPhone 15 Pro Max so I will be watching your videos to pick up as many tips as I can. As soon as my provider has one in stock, I’m buying it. This comment is long, but I had to let you know that you were spot on with your reviews!

Thanks, I’ve been looking for a review of HomePod gen 2 vs Sonos move 2. Believe it or not haven’t really found any reviews comparing them. I really like the Apple ecosystem, but disappointed it doesn’t allow any portability bs the move 2 for when I’m entertaining and maybe want to bring them out to the patio without having power.

Great review! Short and detailed. I’m thinking about getting into Sonos. You mentioned Apple TV to airplay movies to the speakers. How’s the quality? And would it work to set the move 2 up with my TV via Apple TV? Much obliged!

Thanks! And it sounds great, but won't offer official surround like Dolby Atmos when just AirPlaying. That scenario would work!

Great content, thank you for that, but why would you use HDR in the video? It's an eye killer :(.

Unfortunately not. That has to be done with Sonos One SL's, Era 100 or Era 300s

Stephen, thanks for the review. I have the original move and enjoy it. On a related subject have you ever had any success in getting the volume control to display on the iPhone Lock Screen? This is a clear miss, I have no idea why this can't be done. Other things, like Overcast do it with no problem. Thanks for all of your work.

Thanks for watching! And do you mean the Sonos app volume, specifically? I think it's using its own "player," not the built-in iOS player, which means no Lock Screen or Control Center function. If you choose to AirPlay through the Music app instead, then you can get all the normal controls.

Hi, thanks. Yes, using the Sonos app. Just a shame, they used to have it available. Not all of my Sonos speakers support Airplay, but it is a work around. You are probably right, Sonos is using its own player. Thanks again, enjoy the holiday. @@beardfm

Yeah Sonos and Google have been in a bit of a battle with their assistants, hopefully resolved soon!
