It's way harder for an air-cooled generator since you'd need to cut holes for cooling But I'm sure it can be done with water cooling by placing the radiator outside. Though there's still gonna be sound coming out of the exhaust The easiest way is by just getting a quiet engine in the first place. Car engines are much quieter than a cheap single cylinder

Can you do comparison with two layers how drywall with carpet glue between drywall.

Now compare with the same box without sonopan. Y'know, the scientific method of having a control, so we can know for sure it's the sonopan that is cutting the sound and not the thick layer of wood, which adds a lot of mass by itself

I feel even if the SONOpan itself isn't the miricle drug, it's still worth looking at because it's $30/panel or so. Mass is the real answer, yes, but SONOpan provides lots of mass for pretty cheap

If all your doing stopping noise that’s not that impressive. Of course if you completely cover it of course it’s going to cut the sound
